im so copying this idea.

despite it basically what i was doing with my chart anyway.

lo-fi charts ftw. who needs numbers or chart runs or new releases.

DO IT

I basically decided to make this as easy for myself as possible lawlz. I spent way too much time deciding what would be #1 etcetc. This is far easier.

well its the next step of evolution for me, seeing as my chart gradually expanded and then i gradually started hearing less new music, and then i started trying to even out my chart between new releases/new songs put on the web/old songs etc, and it took me forever, and then it cba with it anymore and didnt have the time, so i just started doing simple top ten's loosely based on my last.fm. i also feel like making the playlist real to listen to throughout a week and making the art for it.

I would love to make a legit playlist out of mine, but I really doubt most of Buzzjack would care sadly, and I just don't really have the time. I honestly just do this to a) introduce the few indie fans on BJ to some new traxxx and b ) so I have a list of songs / albums to look at when doing my year end. Though I am planning on starting a blog with my friend, wa-hooo. Might give me inspiration to make this a real thing.

Looking forward to yours. ;o

A playlist constructed perfectly for a stripper with a drug problem.
i'll do mine tomorrow probaly. I should be revising right now see. by make a playlist, I didnt mean to upload, I just meant putting all the songs in a playlist for I to listen to. I'll look forward to your blog, i have tried making a music blog a few times but i always get bored after a while and also no one cared lol.

I had this in mind.

Oh lawlz, I actually do that with this in my iTunes. And anytime I hear a new song I want to put in it, I just put it in my iTunes playlist and delete / rearrange stuff when I do the chart. Woo. ;o

I dunno how the blog thing will work out LOL. We shall see. I follow a ton of them and in general know how to start getting viewers but it's a long process.

These are which ones I know/like:

Don't know that many as you can see (:() but from those I know, I like all of them!

Anything you could recommend me? I think you probably know my taste pretty much now.

I still haven't got round to downloading 'Bitte Orca', I've been meaning to for ages!

Hrmzz. I'd recommend Broken Bells - The High Road and Laura Veirs - July Flame. ;o Good stuff and I think you'll dig. Do you like the Shins? Broken Bells is a side project of the lead singer.

Thank youu, I'll give them both a listen.

And yes, I love the Shins, didn't know about Broken Bells at all though (I can't be that big a fan then really!), so I'll definitely be downloading some of them.

:o If you're ever interested in hearing more, just ask me for recommendations haha. Though I'm glad you did listen to all of them, haha, I just bet some of the songs did not appeal to you whatsoever. I definitely would have recommended White Hinterland; she's amazing. Icarus is very Lykke Li-ish.

Yeah, some definitely weren't my sort of thing  but I'm always looking out for new music and looking to broaden what I listen to and seeing as I'd only heard two of these beforehand I thought it seemed like a good sort of thing to spend some time looking at. I can't say I'd heard of White Hinterland before but will try to spend some time looking into her other material - any recommendations of where to start?

White Hinterland - Icarus is where it's at  Great song. Any others worth listening to?

Icarus is easily the best I've heard from her; she did a really nice cover of My Love by Justin Timberlake as well.

Glad you like it. ;o Hmm, since you're into Joanna Newsom who writes really epic, long songs, you could always give Colouring of Pidgeons a shot. You'd probably like Laura Veirs too, really great folk artist. Owen Pallett's latest has been compared to Ys, as well, though it's very different.

:o Loving Laura Veirs, I've just downloaded her latest album off of Raven Marching Band for £5, what a bargain :P

Glad you like it. I love Wide-Eyed, Legless. Probably my favorite track on the album.
