Posted January 12, 201015 yr System Of A Down bassist Shavo Odadjia has hinted that the rockers may be reuniting this year. The band have not been active as a band since 2006 – but Odadjia posted a message on his Twitter page, Twitter.com/officialshavo, suggesting that a comeback may be on the cards. "Are u guys ready for System???" he wrote. Rumours of a System Of A Down reunion have abound at various points since they went on hiatus. Frontman Serj Tankian embarked on a solo career, while last November three of the band members joined Deftones on stage together in Hollywood for a benefit gig for Deftones bassist Chi Cheng, who is currentl hospitalised.

January 18, 201015 yr It was actually Armenia that they planned to do the Eurovision for when it was held in Russia.... They said at the time that they'd do it to publicise their campaign to get the Armenian massacre committed by Russia be recognised as an act of Genocide.... Shame it didn't happen really, it seriously would have fukked sh!t up..... I'm glad they're making a comeback, but I'll only believe it when the new tunes start hitting the net.....
January 19, 201015 yr Author According to The Pulse of Radio, System Of A Down may not be getting back together after all. Although bassist Shavo Odadjian instantly got fans excited on Tuesday (January 12) when he tweeted, "Are u guys ready for System?", he may have deflated their hopes by later writing, "About my 'are u guys ready for System?'... I'm not sayin we are back but, if so, U guys ready? Sorry for gettin u guys amped. I'm just seeing." Neither Odadjian nor the other three members of the band have addressed the matter any further. System Of A Down has been on hiatus since 2006 while its members have pursued various personal projects. Vocalist Serj Tankian released his first solo album, "Elect The Dead", in 2007 while Odadjian recorded with members of the Wu-Tang Clan and launched a new online music initiative. Meanwhile, guitarist Daron Malakian started a new band called Scars On Broadway, also featuring System drummer John Dolmayan. Asked in a 2007 interview when System will get back together, Tankian said it wasn't really on anyone's radar. "I don't know," he replied. "That's the truth. I mean, we've taken an indefinite hiatus and we just said, you know, when we're all ready to come back and take time from our own things and do something together we will, if and when we want to. And it's been left at that." Three members of System Of A Down — Malakian, Odadjian and Dolmayan — plus Scars On Broadway's Franky Perez performed three songs (including SOAD's "Suite-Pee" and Scars On Broadway's "They Say") at Shavo's Halloween party at the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, California on October 31, 2009.
January 20, 201015 yr think before you say something stupid much? Indeed.... What a pillock.... He didn't mean to get all the SOAD fans "amped"???? WTF did he think would happen when he made the "tweet" (or should I say "tw@t"?) <_< ...
March 9, 201015 yr Author they never split up they just took a break they arent even sure if they ever will get back together, it definatly isnt a break it's an "indefinate hiatus" indefinate as in, they probaly wont come back, you know like blink 182 went on a "indefinate hiatus" and when they got back together, that was a reunion. i'm not even sure if serj speaks to the rest of the band much.
April 25, 201015 yr It was actually Armenia that they planned to do the Eurovision for when it was held in Russia.... They said at the time that they'd do it to publicise their campaign to get the Armenian massacre committed by Russia be recognised as an act of Genocide....
