Posted January 16, 201015 yr SOLO ACTS 1. Lady Gaga - she is amazing, the best pop act of the last 25 years imo 2. Kelly Clarkson - She is so talented and versatile, her ballads are just as brill as her pop-rock songs 3. Beyonce - She is talented, beautiful, lovely and versatile, plus she has made possibly the best track of the noughties, Listen 4. Leona Lewis - She has shown that reality winners are not talentless fools (AKA Steve Brookstein), and cracked America, plus she is arguably one the biggest voices and best vocaillists of this generation 5. Britney - She has had her ups and downs, yet always comes out on top, she knows how to make a classic pop tune 6. Rihanna - She has evolved so much since Music Of The Sun, into her dark new style on Rated R (not bad on the eyes either!) 7. Lily Allen - Constantly controversial, yet constantly churning out gem after gem 8. Jordin Sparks - She is so lovely, and her RNB style mixed with a bit of pop at certain stages is a winning formula 9. Mariah - The queen of high notes brought herself from the 20th to 21st century by being versatile, switching between ballads and rnb beats regularly 10. Alexandra Burke - Another reality winner, but she is so talented and like many on this list is versatile. I know they are all female but i prefer female music for some reason, am i alone there? GROUPS 1. Girls Aloud - Perhaps the only reality winners it is cool to like! There celebrity fans include unlikely culprits such as Arctic Monkeys and Coldplay, and they have made some definitive pop gems. 2. Sugababes - They have survived 3 line-up changes to come out each time stronger, giving us pop gems no matter who was in the group. 3. Black Eyed Peas - Their first two albums were pretty big, but The E.N.D. was the point when it all blew up. 4. The Saturdays - They are relatively new, but Up is one of the classic pop gems of the noughties, and both albums are brilliant. 5. Pussycat Dolls - Nicole and occasionally Melody may be the only ones who lead, but the band have made a lot of damn good tunes. There are no guitar bands here, i'm not really into that kind of music
