Who's willing to bet that Hollywood will finish in the bottom ten of the Best of? :heehee:

Me please. :)

I think Xyland would have done a lot better in a poorer quality contest...known album cuts have to be spectacular to do well when there's so much competition.

I'm not a fan of the She Wolf era really...Men In This Town is probably the standout and it's still far below everything on Laundry Service and most of Oral Fixation (either volume) :(

Oh how I wonder what this might be. :kink:!

Any one else in hear watching the All Ireland Talent Show...?
Bah this sucks, lots of little points :( Thanks everyone whose voted for me but I'm going to retire fromthis thread now, Quotosibb is boring me.

Tbh this result is exactly one of the large reasons I stepped down as BJSC mod. (I know I voted for it but still, the contest has in general gotten too cheap/predictable)

I know how you are feeling.

The song that is winning is brilliant, but it is all so predictable.

Obviously, if you don't enter a song receiving one or more of the following:

Radio play on Radio 1; whose video is being played on UK video channels; a hot current US hit single; done well in a Scandinavian talent show; made the "Hype" of 2010 list ....

.... then you are not going to do very well.

So can I be the first to congratulate Country X: Gabriella Cilmi - On a Mission on winning BJSC Twenty Four. :P

I actually thought She Wolf was a REALLY good album (very high quality overall), but there weren't many stand-outs on there unfortunately :(

don't be so hasty Rich, Gabriella will have strong competition next month from Country Y with Ellie Goulding's Starry Eyed :o will be an exciting race to the finish line, I can't wait to see it :w00t:

Vol 1 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Vol 2 :kink:

I haven't even got She Wolf yet, waiting for the inevitable deluxe edition

I don't think doing well in a Scandinavian talent show is really a pre-requisite to success

Oh, and I find it quite amusing that On A Mission fulfills none of those categories :kink:

At least this month's winner (and hopefully Top 2 if Mdice gets there as well) is brilliant unlike it would be next mmonth if your scenario turns out to be true.

I know how you are feeling.

although I have to add, r.e. the 'done well in a Scandinavian talent show' bit, is there any past example of a Scandinavian talent show song having done well in BJSC before? unless you're counting all of the ESC rejects in this I guess

:o Wow! Thanks Simon

I hope that shut you up sweet pea

I'm shocked Erik Gronwall is holding up so well! Potential shock 2nd place? :o
