January 18, 201015 yr Such a pointless awful award ceremony imo, but if I had to go along with it I'd want "Breathe Slow" to win best single
January 18, 201015 yr Author 3 nominations each for Flo, Pixie, JLS, Lily & Gaga! Edited January 18, 201015 yr by Guru
January 18, 201015 yr No offence ... but how the F*ck can JLS be nominated in the Best British Band section? Norma
January 18, 201015 yr No Poker Face but The Climb is there?! "Poker Face" is not a British single.
January 18, 201015 yr No Poker Face but The Climb is there?! It has to be by a british artist ;)
January 18, 201015 yr Beyonce not nominated?! COME ON LEONA FOR BEST UK FEMALE! :D Edited January 18, 201015 yr by LL1
January 18, 201015 yr No offence ... but how the F*ck can JLS be nominated in the Best British Band section? Norma Judging from the appearences of Doves and Friendly Fires it was hardly a vintage year for British groups...
January 18, 201015 yr no Paloma Faith or Little Boots in 'British Female' :o no Beyonce in 'International Female' :o and Daniel Merriweather manages an 'International Breakthrough' nod but no 'International Male'
January 18, 201015 yr Judging from the appearences of Doves and Friendly Fires it was hardly a vintage year for British groups... Actually, when you think about it ... the Brits have put JLS in there only as a token gesture (like they did with Take That and Girls Aloud last year) they haven't a hope in hell of winning ... but it has wasted a nomination for a more worthy candidate. Norma
January 18, 201015 yr [*]no Beyonce in 'International Female' :o Because an artist can not be nominated a second year for the same album in the BRIT's.. It was also why Amy Winehouse didn't garner any noms in 2008 except for "Valerie".
January 18, 201015 yr no Paloma Faith or Little Boots in 'British Female' :o no Beyonce in 'International Female' :o and Daniel Merriweather manages an 'International Breakthrough' nod but no 'International Male' Only the third one of those is anything worth a :o Beyonce didn't release anything in the time period, and Paloma and Boots years weren't any better than the 5 nominated.
January 18, 201015 yr British Female Solo Artist Florence & the Machine British Male Solo Artist Robbie Williams British Breakthrough Act Florence & the Machine British Group Muse MasterCard British Album Florence & the Machine - Lungs British Single La Roux - In For The Kill Or FFTL or Beat Again :puke: Critics' Choice Ellie Goulding International Female Solo Artist Lady Gaga International Male Solo Artist Jay-Z International Album Lady Gaga - The Fame International Breakthrough Act Lady Gaga Some predictions :P Poor Little Boots :nocheer:
January 18, 201015 yr Cue: The day after the nominations are announced Simon Cowell slams the BRIT awards as a joke not representing the British public true tastes due to the snubbing of Susan Boyle & Leona Lewis; and the minimal amount of nominations for Alexandra Burke & Cheryl Cole. :)
January 18, 201015 yr I think there's a thread for this in the lounge - should you merge them together or something??
