Daniel's Chart Hits

From this week onwards, I have introduced a points system into my chart, which will hopefully keep it more consistent, less random and give songs I really like, but didn't play enough, the chance to shine. The new system will also make the chart more competitive, interesting and hopefully prevent any one artist clogging up the Top 10, unless it is deserved. Over half of my Top 10 was Glee songs last week, and kept other songs that I thought should have been Top 10, off of it. So while Somebody To Love would have been on course for the No.1 for most of the week based on plays, because of the new chart system it was never going to reach it.

There will be 40 points awarded to the song that is played the most and 40 points given to the song that I actually like the most that week. 39 points will be given to the second song on the list ect. At the end of the week, I will combine both scores, and the song with the most points (out of a possible 80) will be No.1. If two or more songs have the same points, the song that is higher on my favourite's list will get the highest placing in the chart.

Also every week, the new points earned will be added to the previously collected points so I can keep a running total. The songs with the most points at the end of the year will form my end of year chart.

So I will just shut up now, and get on with it :D

Thanks for commenting :) Fireflies would have been Top 10 if I hadn't extended my chart week. I still would like Fireflies to make it, but it's already peaked in the amount I listen to it. And I think you will like the latter Glee songs, they get better and better.
