This will probably be another hugely dull and boring song. Charity singles usually are. Even Band Aid was crap.

If you are a true Gaga fan you would not want her to be associated with this.

why do you say that?

Well I'm not too surprised about this. I will probably really like it if Leona, Alexandra and GaGa are featured on it. I'm looking forward to see the line-up for it, and I wonder what cover it will be.
I'm just REALLY excited at the though of Alexandra and Leona being on the same song :heehee: That's the X Factor loon inside me I try to hide zooming to the surface though.
i think the real question in that video is WTF is on Beyonce's head! lol

Wasnt it because she was filming for that movie where she played Etta James at the time?

best pop star in the world on a song with Joe McElderry.

No thanks.

I really dont know how to respond to this level of small-mindedness.

This is a charty single. Do you think that the "true" Lady Gaga fans are disappointed by the fact that she might appear on it - no matter who else is on it. This discussion shouldn't even be happening. An artists reputation does not rise and fall based on what charity record they appear on or not.

Grow up.

small mindedness?

I am a true gaga fan which is why I know she is donating concert tickets and merchandise sales to Haiti. She has enough self respect that she would not be on a record lining Simon cowells pockets.

So? It's GaGa's call. If she wants to, as a fan I support that decision ;) And the money isn't lining Cowells pockets.

We all know about her donations and that is very commendable.

If Cowel is going to benefit from this financially then he is a c**t. I truely wasn't aware that he was going to profit from the single - is this true?

He profited from You Are Not Alone despite the money from that going to charity, this will be the same read the small print if you get the single.

So you're making an assumption.

So you're making an assumption.

I'm not making an assumption it is the same with any charity single.

Just like it is the same with all reality shows with a charity phone in.

Only around one pound from each single will go to Haiti.

Anyway this is pointless arguing over this we both know Simon cowell did not have the people of Haiti in mind when he set up this single.

You make a fair point. I apologise for my earlier comments about small mindedness.

In that case Lady Gaga and others should try and set up a charity single that does not create profit for anyone.

Was it the same for Band Aid?

I bet it's Don't Stop Believing

Apparently Journey didn't allow Joe to cover it, they didn't want Cowell to get rights, but this is charity so they should have half a heart!

Cowell isn't profitting from it

He is even campaigning to Brown to waive the VAT on the record so if after that he put the VAT in his own pocket he would be lynched by the public

Where Cowell WILL profit though is in increased sales of his acts, after any charity gig/record there is always a knock on effect of increased sales of the artists that took part and Cowell WILL profit there

I'm just REALLY excited at the though of Alexandra and Leona being on the same song :heehee: That's the X Factor loon inside me I try to hide zooming to the surface though.

I wish it could be just Leona and Alex singing Karyn White's Superwoman or Sisters doing it for themselves with Annie Lennox she is on every charity record.

I hate things like this. Yes it's for charity blah blah blah but how much will this raise - anywhere near what Cowell and all these big artists make in 1 year? No chance. It's just another big ego trip for Cowell to try and make himself look good - and of course to promote certain x factor singers no doubt.

According to Radio 2's Simon Mayo show just announced US Haiti Aid single "Hope For Haiti Now" an original composition written by Bono, The Edge, Jay-Z & Chris Martin.

Acts already confirmed on this US Charity single include: Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira; Sting, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Lady GaGa, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow as well as Coldplay, U2 & Jay-Z.

More are scheduled to be added....

Somehow I reckon it might just be about one million times better than whatever Simon Cowell can come up with.
