January 21, 201015 yr Author I'm no Cowell fan, but if he can manipulate the public into doing anything and make millions off it, why shouldn't he? The public are so stupid they deserve what they get. clearly I'm not suggesting he stops why would he. The British public are the stupid ones.
January 21, 201015 yr I'm more bored about people starting threads about how much they dislike Cowell than i am listening to the music he releases on his lable - Get over it people! There are 3 threads on Buzzjack about him so far tis week  I second that.
January 21, 201015 yr Author I second that. wow there are three threads that relate to each other but all have different issues. People are free to express their opinions.
January 21, 201015 yr Louis doesn't have a record label they will be signed with Simon. Voting does reflect their popularity and they were never anywhere near as popular as the media made out infact the majority can't stand them. Big stars won't be on the Haiti record. No I don't think I'm overreacting everywhere you go I have to listen or hear to one of SYCO's dire acts. There is no getting away from it. They werent very popular in voting terms, but they NEVER finished bottom of the vote, the week they went they had more than Olly- it doesnt matter, it hasnt affected them at all, they could get a number 1- and I am hoping they will  As for the Haiti record, it cant be as bad as Hero or YANA, and he will probably not just use X factor finalists again- save it for the autumn  Not the end of the world
January 21, 201015 yr OMG... I just was viewing the site as a guest till I saw this, and I just had to log back in... over reaction much  So what... its British music at its worst, British music is not going to get any better we just have to rely on the American $h!te all the time that filters our chart for good music. John and Edward are Irish.
January 21, 201015 yr clearly I'm not suggesting he stops why would he. The British public are the stupid ones. I agree. The same people who bought Chasing Cars.....500,000 of them.
January 21, 201015 yr they could get a number 1- and I am hoping they will  Why???? Why on Earth????
January 21, 201015 yr Why???? Why on Earth????  Because Jedward were one of my favourite acts of last years X factor- you either love them or you hate them and I love them! They werent good singers, but they more than made up for it in entertainment value- I just loved watching them every week, they bought fun to the show and didnt just do dull ballads- I was gutted when they left, but now I realise it was the right time as they have done brilliantly I am so pleased they have a single out, they completely stole the show last night (they blew Joe out the water) and I hope they get a number 1

January 21, 201015 yr But they can't sing a single note :manson: I very much doubt they'd be the first "singer(s)" to get a #1 without actually being able to sing
January 21, 201015 yr But they can't sing a single note :manson: So? they were so entertaining it didnt matter
January 21, 201015 yr Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis, Michael Buble, Robbie Williams, Joe McElderry & SuBo are some of the names that were mentioned in the News report. No news of the single though
January 21, 201015 yr In case anyone doesn't know, according to The Sun, Cowell's given £50,000 already of his own money to Haiti. Edited January 21, 201015 yr by Victor Meldrew
January 21, 201015 yr In case anyone doesn't know, according to The Sun, Cowell's given £50,000 already of his own money to Haiti. And he giving £50,000 is like a UK Penshioner giving £5. There is a part of The Bible, where Jesus points out how some Rich Men like to make a fuss, (make sure everyone knows), when they give to Charity. He then pointed to an old - poor - Woman - who was quietly giving her last few coins to Charity. She made no fuss, She just gave what little she had. Mr. Cowell gives a little of his huge wealth - and makes sure we all get to hear about it. The idea is that we say:, 'What a great guy!'. Such fellows are shallow - they have to be praised for giving. It is nothing to do with being kind. Everything to do with attention grabbing, publicity, & ego. Likewise for the Charity Single for Haiti - the lot of them could give quietly, but they just have to have a No.1 Single out of it. Mr. Cowell just has to be seen to be organising it. His Acts have to be a big part of it. It is so false & phoney, that it is amazing that so many people fall for such ego driven 'giving'! Edited January 21, 201015 yr by zeus555
January 21, 201015 yr Yeah, looks like it will be "Everybody Hurts". From Digitalspy: Cowell fundraiser single to be REM cover? Simon Cowell's charity single for victims of the Haiti earthquake will reportedly be a cover version of REM's 'Everybody Hurts'. The reality TV judge announced his plans for the benefit record at the National Television Awards last night. Cowell has recruited singers Michael Bublé and Leona Lewis for the song, as well as fellow X Factor judge Cheryl Cole, says Sky News. Other stars rumoured to be attached to the project include Beyoncé, Robbie Williams, Lady GaGa, Susan Boyle and Wyclef Jean. Cowell is organising the effort after receiving a request from Prime Minister Gordon Brown. "The agony and anguish for the people that we are seeing on our television screens is something that British people want to respond to," Brown said earlier today.
