Not saying your wrong, but my personal chart has 25 songs, and this week, only eight songs are by males, or a group with a male vocalist, and about three of them also feature female vocals. So overall, I prefer songs by females. And last year, I really liked two YCNY contestants - Jade & The Twins.

 

I'll try not to judge the book by the cover, but Josh has such a bad nose on his cover that it's very hard not to judge him :P

 

Also, as mentioned in the article in The Sun last Friday, we need to send Esma so she can help us gain the Austrian votes :kink:

I also agree that it'll be the females and groups that will impress me over the males. Female vocalists majorly outnumber males in my chart :lol:

And that's during ESC season. Without the help of Male ESC songs, my chart usually has even less male vocalists :lol:

Sit around all day watching the preview videos on the ESC website, that's what I did. We could perhaps find the odd thing to talk about....I think there is a Eurovision stage diary every year now, and rehearsals shortly before the contest.

I would never had prejudice for a person if i didn't like their appearance :/ Sounds so wrong and weird to me. What would i/you feel when somebody said to me/you 'I never met ya and i despise your hair, you must be that bad in playing the guitar'. (I.e. complete nonsense :( )

It's not all about the song, though. If Alexander Rybak was ugly, he may still have won, but might not have got quite as many points.

 

Dunno if this has been mentioned here, but not only did they think Austria still took part, but they put TWICE that the show was on tonight (last Friday)

I did manage to get tickets for Friday in the end, but can't attend now because it was such short notice :( . If they'd have told me on Thursday or Friday last week then I would have gone, but 2 days before is ridiculous unless you live in London -_-

It's not difficult at all, but at a day or two's notice, it's bloody expensive. If I wanted to jump on a train to London and back tomorrow it'd probably cost me upwards of £100, which people just wouldn't pay to go to a TV recording. Especially since the last trains out of London are about 10pm latest, so it'd probably be a hotel for the night and all your internal travel, too.

In Norway it costs the same all the time, and I think the latest train to Oslo is 1:30AM and earliest is 4:30AM

I didn't know it was so expensive. I'm going to France (as part of the French Exchange with school), and I know it's different, but for £250, I'm getting a train to London (which lasts about 2hrs), another train to Gatwick Airport (about 50mins), a flight to the south of France, flight back, two trains back to where I live, with only about a month's notice. Dunno how the compares, though :unsure:

 

So what are you doing with the tickets now? Selling them, or keeping them so in a few years you can look back and remember this time...

 

 

 

A week before you travel it's £50 roughly for me to get to London. It would have been about £90 for the same ticket 1 or 2 days before travelling. It costs more for me because of where I live, travelling between Carmarthen and Neath always adds a lot more to the cost.

 

The tickets came in the form of an email. I just emailed back saying I couldn't make it at such short notice. They should have realised given my location that I possibly wouldn't have been able to make it without at least 4-5 days notice, and they've have had since last Tuesday to get the tickets out! I wasn't exactly going to buy train tickets and arrange everything in advance incase I didn't get the tickets!

 

Ahh well, Sugababes and Alexander Rybak aren't even performing during the live airing, so I would have missed the most talented acts anyway :P

Yeah, I accidentally put just the live show as my first choice though. I didn't read the email properly until after I'd applied. I thought the pre-record was a dress rehearsal. Was pretty gutted when I realised :lol:

Pete Waterman has revealed some more details about the song:

 

It will follow the typical ESC pop recipe with a catchy intro & bridge

The lyrics will eventually change to fit the performer

The song will grab us in the first 20 seconds, and catch out attention for sure

 

 

NOTE: The Russian entry also catches your attention quickly - but that ain't good :P

Song will be called 'Not Your Love' according to Oikotimes...
