A bit #2000andlate, but I've noticed that this hasn't been posted in here. Anyway, Girls Aloud finished FIFTH on the singles albums of the 2000s and FOURTY-FIRST on the albums artists of the 2000s.

 

01 EMINEM 4,592,127 (not including a further 563,130 as a featured artist, and not including a further 723,240 with D12)

02 WESTLIFE 4,551,712

03 BRITNEY SPEARS

04 BLACK EYED PEAS 4,224,350

05 GIRLS ALOUD

Quite an achievement coming fifth on singles, I'd NEVER have expected that! :o And 3 of the above artists had 2 more years of success before Girls Aloud were born! :o The albums, although low, is quite pleasing, as they beat Leona's massive sales, and came close to Black Eyed Peas, who've had 3 consecutive million-selling albums! :o

They beat sugababes in the singles :cheer: does anyone know if they were the biggest selling female act of the decade. group i mean?

It was the Sugababes. Girls Aloud would have only been a few hundred thousand off though. :)
