May 27, 201015 yr Satellite is my favourite song this year, but I'm not sure I'll be voting for Lena, cause the live performances so far are not very convincing.... at least for me. besides, i watched some interviews with her and find her a bit awkward at times.
May 28, 201015 yr Latest Lena rehearsal brings good news! From AKOE; Lena for Germany next. Love or hate her accent, pronunciation, this was vocally very strong. Blue set. Again , its quite a contrast to Armenia before it. She's dressed in simple black dress. . This is her best performance so far! And a great crowd reaction. This is the stage the juries are marking on :cheer:
May 29, 201015 yr Okay. I take it back, this is the best song in the contest. :cheer: Is this you insulting the quality of the rest of the contest or has Satellite grown on you? :kink: Either way, like I said, it was a 5/10 for me on first listen and has now topped my chart for SEVEN weeks :o

I love it. The quality of the contest is $h!te too though.

May 29, 201015 yr Gotta say. I hate this on first listen, thought it was absoulutely appalling and that Gooddelta's brain had turned to nothingness. But now....I adore it. Definatly one of my favourites

Definatly one of my favourites  It's one of these sorts of songs, it hits you on like the 4th listen. Which could spell trouble in ESC as most people will be hearing it for the first time and think 'what the hell is this' like we all did :drama:

May 30, 201015 yr Author Shameless plug o'clock: Release Satelite on iTunes now! http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/gr...1600&ref=ts
May 30, 201015 yr Great group Tom :D Although, it's not iTunes fault, it's unavailable on all of the MP3 sites so it's obviously the record company that have done this. So...the single, on other iTunes sites is up from 'Universal Music Domestic Pop' and the Eurovision album on the UK site is up from 'CMC Entertainment A/S', so I would suggest mass e-mailing these two companies to sort the problem out at the source! If anyone can find contact addresses for either/both of these I'd be willing to do it, I can't find anything so far

May 30, 201015 yr Author CMC put the compilation together, I don't think they would have the authority or ability to make the song not album only? I will try them though...
May 30, 201015 yr Congratulations to Lena. Personally I still don't get the fuss over a track that sounds like an album only track from a Kate Nash; Lily Allen or Lenka album. It is probably my least favourite winner some members on this site persuaded me to put away my cynicism to make me take it seriously again. But still a fantastic Top 10. As for Pete Waterman claiming this morning on Radio 5Live that Germany only won because of political/financial reasons - bailing out the Euro currency, and being one of the few countries to afford to host the next contest (yeah right of course that is why people all over voted for the German entry and not because of the song ) - he is heading for a surefire Hate nomination from me next month.
May 30, 201015 yr Sent this off to CMC Hi, I've been informed that your company deal with the release of the Eurovision Song Contest compilation album to shops and download portals and was wondering why Lena's Satellite, the winning song, is 'album only' in the UK on iTunes and other download sites, meaning that we can't purchase it at all unless we buy the album. It seems a bit unfair when it's available on nearly every other iTunes store across Europe. There's a lot of pent up demand for the song and it's wasting sales. Thanks for your time, Richard Now I need an e-mail address for Universal Music Domestic Pop who have dealt with the digital single release on every other iTunes store across Europe, and they'll get a similar e-mail :P

Definitely, that's exactly why I voted for Germany anyway, nothing to do with the fact that it's my favourite song of the year or anything. He really is an utter fool.
May 30, 201015 yr If the BBC try the same selection format next year, can they at least choose a songwriter who can take criticism, and isn't a sore loser.
May 30, 201015 yr Author Sent this off to CMC Now I need an e-mail address for Universal Music Domestic Pop who have dealt with the digital single release on every other iTunes store across Europe, and they'll get a similar e-mail :P I sent this email Hello I don't know if you are able to help, but I know you are responsible for the release of the official Eurovision album this year and every year, and I have noticed that the winning song Satelite by Lena Meyer-Landrut is not currently available on iTunes in the UK. It is featured as album only on your compilation. I think it would be great if you can change this to allow the song to be bought seperately, as it would not only generate more sales for yourself but allow the song to become the big hit in the UK that it deserves to be. I have started a group on Facebook petitioning for it's release, I hope you will look at it and see the demand... http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/gr...1600&ref=ts Thank you, Tom K Maybe I should not have included the group link, but never mind  Can't find ANYTHING for Universal. Well, a phone number, but I'm not ringing it. 020 8910 5000.
