June 16, 201015 yr Author Lena is a guest on This Morning tomorrow. OMFG really :o I can honestly say I'm not even slightly over Lena
June 16, 201015 yr I'm still playing Turkey. :o That Brussels version they used in the actual show is WONDERFUL. While we're on the football theme - Denmark beats any other country football song wise: "Sukkerchok - Sukkerbold" <3
June 16, 201015 yr Author I love Sukkerchok, but tbh that track goes nowhere :( Still think Kaemper For Kaerlighed >>>>>>>>>>>> A Moment Like This tho.

June 16, 201015 yr It's still better than Shout For England :kink: What isn't though? :drama: So over this now. It's quite odd actually, only Denmark and Romania are standing the test of time and still getting regular plays :o I'm still playing Satellite and Allez Ola Ole regularly, and that's it - probably because they're the big Euro hits, so I'd be playing them even if they weren't Eurovision entries. Got over all of the others about 3 days after the contest, definitely much weaker than 2009, as we'd all said from the outset. Lena is a guest on This Morning tomorrow. Fantastic, shame I won't see it - moving house :drama: but will hopefully catch up with it on Youtube at some point! Phillip Schofield gave Agnes a terrible interview though so I can't imagine how he'll deal with Lena's sense of humour  I love Sukkerchok, but tbh that track goes nowhere :( Still think Kaemper For Kaerlighed >>>>>>>>>>>> A Moment Like This tho. Agreed on both counts. I listened to it and it was a complete nothing of a song. Kaemper For Kaerlighed was definitely the best in MGP  but to be fair, I'd rank 4 or 5 other songs from the ten above In A Moment Like This too
June 16, 201015 yr I hope Sukkerchok try again next year. They had the best song last year and this year, so they've been robbed  Third time lucky, hopefully. Except they are getting a tiny bit worse each time - Det Det>Kaemper For Kaerlighed Agreed on both counts. I listened to it and it was a complete nothing of a song. June 16, 201015 yr Not really, it's quite obvious which MGP I'm referring to, why should Norway get priority over Denmark with the MGP name? :kink: I dunno, was the Norwegian version created first, maybe? It's just that I always see people on other sites refer to the Norwegian one as "Melodi Grand Prix", and the Danish one as "Dansk Melodi Grand Prix".
June 16, 201015 yr I dunno, was the Norwegian version created first, maybe? It's just that I always see people on other sites refer to the Norwegian one as "Melodi Grand Prix", and the Danish one as "Dansk Melodi Grand Prix". Nope, Denmark's started in 1957, Norway's in 1960 :o I guess they do call it Dansk Melodi Grand Prix and I would call it that if I was speaking generally but seeing as we were having a discussion about Sukkerchok and Chanee & N'Evergreen, I didn't feel the need to clarify :heehee: In terms of overall quality though MGP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>DMGP The latter nearly always consists of 10 polished MOR radio pop songs whilst Norway's has a lot more choice in terms of genres and types of artists.
June 16, 201015 yr It's great when a selection has been going all that time  DMGP was great last year, I really liked every song, but "Believe Again" was probably my least favourite :heehee: I much prefer MGP to DMGP though, just because MGP have 5 live shows, whereas DMGP is just 1 live show now
June 16, 201015 yr Also gets a third week on the Radio 2 B-list :D I think that's what's helping it from plunging into obscurity as it's still lingering just outside the top 100 on iTunes. As far as I know it's the only continued exposure the song's getting in the UK.
June 17, 201015 yr Lena's interview and performance on This Morning, this morning () xOsUg1R0Uzc JKfuZIoTUbA Nice interview actually and answers from Lena! Strange accent speaking in English, seems to veer into Mockney quite a bit, just as she sings :heehee: Confirming that she's defending her title next year! Fantastic performance too - especially the 'I did it just the other day' - she always performs the song differently  Still nowhere near bored of this song! Not sure about her jacket though
June 17, 201015 yr I'm becoming a flop fan - I'd completely forgotten about this :snif: Good interview, much better than the Agnes interview. Good to see Lena doing some promo in the UK. The jacket isn't bad, but I'm not keen on the jeans. The "I did it just the other day" is actually a LOL moment  Performance is ok, but she can't top the proper Eurovision performance
June 21, 201015 yr Jessy Matador charts at #17 in Germany this week. Missed an opportunity of going top5 2 weeks ago, shame.
July 18, 201015 yr Why is it that acts that have HUGE long running #1 singles in my personal chart always follow it up with something bland/forgettable/nowhere near as good... Stay The Night :cheer: ----> Burning -_- Keep On Walking :yahoo: ----> 4 O'Clock :( Shine  ----> I'd Wait For Life  Release Me :w00t: ----> I Need You Now :drama: Satellite  ----> Touch A New Day  ------ You get the point
