Love how they tried to make out her exit is a big deal lol. Yea erm, ok. She's been such a huge character I don't know how viewers will survive the loss.

Now when is Mr Cotton's exit going to be announced...

I agree about Natasha ... she hardly made an impression! She wasn't even a good hairdresser!

Good storyline coming up for Craig Gazey (one of my five fave characters) and the one who plays Tina! Loved Mary's Subo impression ... there is definitely an Annie Wilkes/Misery storyline on the horizon with her and Norris (or if there isn't ... I could write a brilliant one). I'm loving Rita again! Glad Gary Windass is back I hope they don't pack him off to prison or something ... he's a good character and Mikey North is a good actor.

That explains the absence then! Poor Sally. Glad to hear she is ok.

Apparently there was a media blackout on the story until NOTW decided to run this today.

Looking forward to her on-screen return. I'm sure she must be very bored sitting upstairs :P

I was really shocked and saddened when i read this story, although not a major fan of coronation street sally whitaker i always said was a great and often under used actress and her christmas scenes were faultless, and considering what we now know i have to give my hat of to her for doing the storyline considering what she was going through in real life. I hope she recovers well, and return to full health very soon.

Aww, poor Sally. :( Get well soon.

I'm loving the take on Misery, I never liked Mary but they're really bringing her to life now. Some of these scenes are totally hilarious.

I've been catching this on and off this past week as I have a new housemate who loves Corrie. I'm no fan usually, but the Norris/Mary scenes have been pretty hilarious!
im enjoying the misery style storyline aswell, just something that popped into my head what has happened the bar leanna and peter has refurbished,as the building has gone back to the way it looke don the outside before the refurbishments?

Peter got absolutely hammered at the pre-opening party for the bar and made an absolute t*t of himself. As newspapers, local councillors and bigwigs were there at the time ... the whole idea was shelved. It was a 'hard-hat' party so I think the only work that had been done was inside (and even then only partly so ... hence the 'hard hats')

Personally I love June Whitfield's character. She'd only been in it less than 15 seconds and she came out with a corker of a line that Blanche would have been proud of.

No doubt she'll finally shine ... in her exit storyline  she has been so underused

Coronation Street's Natasha Blakeman is to commit suicide in a forthcoming storyline, it has been revealed.

The Weatherfield hairdresser, played by former Holby City actress Rachel Leskovac, will take her own life after suffering a series of personal setbacks in her final few weeks on the cobbles.

According to reports, Natasha is left heartbroken after her romance with businessman Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) runs into problems. She is also expected to face difficulties at work.

It is thought that the soap's scriptwriters have not yet reached a firm decision on how Natasha will end it all.

A show source told The Sun: "Viewers will be shocked by the storyline, but it will be handled with sensitivity."

Insiders said that Natasha is to show a nastier side before the gritty plotline airs. It is thought that she will tell Nick the truth about Leanne Battersby's (Jane Danson) past as an escort after realising that he still has feelings for his ex-wife.

Meanwhile, Natasha has also been tipped to scheme against boss Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) by trying to convince her that she is too old to run her salon - a plan which later backfires.

Leskovac's departure from Coronation Street was last week announced by the programme's new producer Phil Collinson.

Natasha i like myself and not being a huge corrie fan and more of a forced viewer as my girlfirend watches it natasha would have been one of the slect few i wouldnt have axed.

Thought June Whitfield was a bit daft tbh. It felt a bit forced and that they were trying to get a few 'Blanche' style lines in there.

Loved Mary and Norris. Some of Corrie's best scenes in many many months.

Major lol at Natasha's exit story. She's been so underused they now they decide to axe her and give her this juicy storyline!

I actually thought the Mary/Norris storyline became weaker and weaker (from a sparkling beginning). I can't honestly see those coppers being too pleased to come out to what would have looked like (to them) a silly family tiff.

No ... June Whitfield is going to be a bit of an asset in the coming weeks. I loved her one-liners 'is there a war on?' and 'it's like looking at Blanche's corpse'. Certainly nothing replaces Blanche ... but they've made a decent start.

'it's like looking at Blanche's corpse'.

 that was hilarious, forgot about that.

The scriptwriters do a brilliant job for the older cast members in Corrie. So much better than in any of the other soaps.

I also loved the look on Peter's face as June was talking. It was like he was watching thinking ... 'no wonder Blanche and this one were great mates ... they've been cut from the same cloth'.

REAKING NEWS: Actress Vicky Binns is to leave Coronation Street later this year as the Molly, Kevin, Tyrone love triangle takes another dramatic turn.

However, we're keeping details of the next twist in this storyline strictly under wraps!

Vicky, who plays Molly, said: “It’s been a joy to be involved in such a fantastic storyline and it is only right that it has the explosive ending viewers are waiting for. I am very excited about playing out the rest of this plot and indeed about what the future holds. I've had an amazing time in the show and feel it's right to leave on such a high.”

Ever since she started her affair with Kevin, Molly has been torn between her lover and her husband.

Kevin and Molly’s plans to leave their spouses were scuppered on Christmas Day when Sally revealed to a stunned Kevin that she was suffering from breast cancer.

Molly still left Tyrone, but just weeks later discovered she was pregnant and, unsure of whether Kevin or Tyrone was the father and facing the future as single mum, she went back to an unsuspecting Tyrone.

Now with the baby due in the early autumn more shocks are planned!

Our producer, Phil Collinson, said: “This storyline has been central to the drama of the show for a year now and I hope that the many different twists and turns we have planned will keep the fans on the edge of their seats for months to come.

“Vicky is a superb actress who has helped to make the Molly, Kevin, Tyrone love triangle one of the most talked about soap storylines of the year. We wish her every success for the future.”

I want Auntie Pam to stay though :(

Not fussed at this. Gone off of her so much. Still another exit while Antony Cotton remains. <_<
Coronation Street = Bore! too many old people like why do they need norris omg and molie storyline is so ridiculous

Her character has been ruined so much since she joined, she'll never be able to go back now.

Yup, this storyline was always going to destroy her. There was even talk of them trying to make her and Tyrone the next Jack & Vera lol.

I really hope she leaves with no possibility of ever returning.

Apparently Trevor Dean has also been axed. I've not seen a lot of him but what I have wasn't that bad.
