The Bistro is providing some great comedy scenes I think!

I love how Eilen carries on around Julie. The eye rolling, under-the-breath comments :wub:

I can't get over the fact that the guy who plays Brian is the guy who plays Ewan McGregor's pool opponent in Brassed Off!

I like Julie alot and always find her hilarious.

Corrie was so back on target tonight. Back to its roots - comedy. When it gets it right no other program let alone soap, does it better than Coronation Street. Stephanie Cole (while not quite up there in the Blanche stakes) is doing very nicely indeed.

Enjoyed Friday's episode back on track as you said ^_^ Becky even made me laugh for the first time in ages, saying she recognised people in prison :lol:

Sylvia just annoys the hell out of me to be honest. I know we're supposed to find her funny but she just irritates me the way she's taken over the cafe.

 

Not a patch on the brilliant Blanche (RIP). But I suppose nobody was ever going to replace her.

I think they are overplaying her. She's good when she's in it for very short moments and delivers a quick one-liner or put-down but she isn't funny enough to be in long scenes.

 

Deirdre is going to be the new Blanche.

If they tried for another 10 years no other soap could come up with a funnier two minutes than Corrie provided tonight in part two of the second episode. Mary, Rita, Sally and Gail (Gail's face!) talking about Mark/Marcia and his/her 'impeccable' dress sense!

 

Corrie is bang back on target!

Gail just seems completely appalled by the whole thing haha

I really love how Corrie has highlighted a big problem the transgendered community suffer (more so than the lesbian/bi/gay etc.). Very good!

Friday's episodes were legendary!

Aww I really feel for Kylie :( Audrey is being such a snobby cow, Kylie does everything she can (despite sometimes being a bit nasty) to try and get on and they throw it in her face... I mean tbh you really can't blame Kylie for not being the best towards her (and Gail) when they treated her like that from the off!

Kylie is one of the best new characters in any soap at the moment. I find her a bit complex - one minute I love her the next minute I despise her.

Sick of the constant shots of Peter looking at Carla now :mellow: god graphic run over as well :lol:
