 at Julie running for the files with a big grin and coming back with a serious face

They have to make more of Julie.

I'll tell you what is peeing me off about Corrie at the moment. Fizz! I hope the storyline that they're planning for her sees her in jail and OFF the Street for a while. I know Kate Ford is an awful actress - but at least Tracy is interesting. I can't see what purpose Fizz serves.

I'm loving Sally more and more too. I actually know two people going through divorces who have done that to put buyers off (although they were the husbands of the parties).

Kath

Oh I like Fiz. I feel like I want to give her a big hug. Infinitely better character than Tracy. I can't actually believe how terrible she is, even now. Every single lines she delivers falls completely flat. Things that could be spoken with real vitriol end up sounding like a 14 year old's petty playground rant.

Doesn't Jenny McAlpine's simpering voice annoy you though? In her own way - I find her equally as bad an actress as Kate Ford. And yet - when Fizz first came into the show - I quite liked her. She had balls! Now (and it isn't just with the grief she's having) she's just as wet as a November day in Scarborough!

Kath

Yeh Fizz has totally had her character completely changed  didn't she once get her boobs out on Underworld roof?

She did indeed. Also - I remember quite early on - one of the characters said something that sounded quite condescending to her (I'm pretty sure it was Emily and she didn't mean to offend - but she was making a comment about jobj-hunting) and Fizz retorted 'I'm not thick you know - I did get six A grades' - or something similar. Yet the writers have turned her into a thick, simpering, balls-less bint when everyone knows that in Corrie - the women are supposed to be the strong, brainy ones.

I remember Fiz being a right cow when she first aired. Wasn't she the one who split Maria and Tyrone up?

She was a cow on her very first appearance. She was fostered by Roy and Hayley and she tried to get Roy into bother by accusing him of sexual harrassment. She owned up of course and from then on has been best friends with both. Yes - she did split Maria and Tyrone up - but Tyrone was being strung along by Maria anyway. I started to like Fiz though when she became restless of her relationship with Tyrone. She wanted freedom, a career, something 'other than THIS' ... where did that spirit go? She's just a drudge-puddle - or as Ivy Tilsley (you won't remember her - Gail's mother in law) called Gail a 'Little Nelly Wet-Drawers'!

I really hate wet, stupid, simpering women in soaps. I know she's useless but give me a Tracey any day!

Kath

Todd is returning ^_^ for a short stint
Good lord. He was SO WET.

He was indeed. Who could forget that shirtless scene after the shower? Amazing.

LOL GARY. NAUGHTY.

I like the sound of this Graeme/Tina spoiler...

Coronation Street favourite Graeme Proctor will leave Weatherfield after being convinced to take part in a fake wedding. The dozy butcher played by Craig Gazey is talked into marrying his girlfriend Tina McIntyre's (Michelle Keegan) Chinese friend Xin so she can get a visa to stay in the country in the ITV1 soap but although the deceit is Tina's idea, the lies eventually lead to their break-up.

"Things get messy. Corrie fans love Graeme and Tina together. But the lies eventually split them up. And whether or not he is found out and sent to jail, Graeme will leave Corrie very soon." Graeme and Tina fake a huge argument to convince people they have split up and Graeme quickly moves Xin into his flat, despite his misgivings that it could land him back in jail again. He tells Tina: "I can't believe what we've got ourselves into. I could get seven years for doing this."

Despite Tina's assertions that "when the dust settles we'll find a way out of this", sources have revealed she quickly regrets her offer to Xin when it leads to troubles in her relationship with Graeme. The matter becomes even more complicated when Graeme convinces his best friend and Tina's ex boyfriend David Platt and his fianceé Kylie Turner to share their big day by having a double wedding. Kylie is only marrying David in the hope of getting Audrey's hair salon.

Todd?! Oh LORD the DS forums will be OVERCOME with mass orgasms. I fully expect the internet to come to a crashing halt.

Did anyone just watch the Betty Driver story? Fantastic viewing - what a woman.

Kath

Tyrone & Julie are to get together  glad shes going to have more ties to the Street

Do you think

the guy who chatted up Sally (Jeff?) is the same customer of Rosie's photographer who wanted her to pose topless for a job?

And - am I the only one who WANTS Leanne to leave Peter and go off with Nick? No matter what she's done - she's been a life-saver to Peter (not to mention unpaid baby-sitter) and to be honest - Nick's right - Peter needs a mother - not a wife.

Kath

So because Peter is a disabled alcoholic he doesn't have a right to be loved by the woman he loves? What an odd mentality!

Leanne and Nick aren't suited in the slightest, not to mention the fact that as a couple they would be deathly dull.

Actually - it is because he's a bigamist, is irresponsible, has had more chances than soft-Joe and is a bloody idiot!

Do you deliberately go about looking for my posts to be objectionable - or do you do it to everyone - because you truly get on my wick. I keep putting you on ignore - and then I'll notice by accident that you've made a decent post (when someone's quoted you) and so I take you off. And then you go off on one again. I find your mentality as a stalker very odd indeed! Why don't you just go an post with people who think the same, boring way that you do. I'll not bother with the ignore feature any more - but suggest that you put me on yours!

I don't think so - they've got more life in them than Kat and Alfie (who are terminally dull unfortunately) and people don't seem to find them dull.

Please Jark - put me on ignore! You'll feel better for it! You need never see my posts again ... and you'll be a happy little bunny, in your make-believe-the-soaps-are-real world!

For the love of God, Kath, I wish you would learn that it's nothing PERSONAL. I'm questioning your opinion as I would absolutely anybody else I disagree with. Tyron is one of my favourite posters on this site and I am CONSTANTLY telling him I think he's wrong. The very object of a discussion forum is to DISCUSS. You said something about Leanne and Peter and I disagreed entirely so I told you. You really must get over this JARK HATES ME BECAUSE I'M OLD mentality because it's doing my NUT in. I have absolutely NO reason to hold anything against you. I have in the past told you I AGREE with you on multiple matters. If you're going to put me on ignore then JUST DO IT, that's fine, but don't give me all this I HAD YOU ON IGNORE NOW YOU'RE NOT BUT YOU COULD BE AGAIN nonsense. I'm not putting you on ignore because I don't put anybody on ignore. I'm interested in what anybody has to say but I will NEVER not say what I think and it's not my problem if you can't handle that.

Well that was just unbelievable tonight. No-one would do what Peter did (the pillock!) And how dare he say 'SIT DOWN' to Norris! Norris should have said 'just beggar off - bigamist!' And does Leanne enjoy being a doormat?

No I was disappointed with the whole 'blessing' thing tonight! Thank goodness that the Webster family kept it worth watching (apart from the dire Sawphie!)
