erm...that concentrates on acts that got to number 1 ... so if an act only has 1 hit but fails to top the chart it isnt a one hit wonder?.... i think not. the clues in the title!

... nah i dont agree, they are most successful one hit wonders, but to degrade many tracks just because they didnt get to #1 is daft.

I love It Should Have Been Me by Yvonne Fair which reached No.5 in 1976. Such anger and angst in her voice. Gladys Knight and others did versions but the original is still the best. Kim Weston's version is good though, with a great spoken intro. It's on Youtube.

 

Hurt So Good by Susan Cadogan. Great reggae track from 1975.
