I'm not a frigging child, so there was no need to patronise :)

Anyway, i don't know how you can call Kelly's album AIEW a flop or Le's Echo. I'd easily say Kelly's MD wasn't the most successful but even that did ok in the UK based on chart positions. But i guess sales are things that matter.

Anyway you might need to go and look what a flop is. Echo has sold 600k off the back of a perceived underperforming lead single. Now imagine how many sales it would have at the end of it's run - and this is only referring to the UK sales. Worldwide, it could easily sell over 3 million.

I hate to bring Rihanna into it as i love her (to a lesser extent) but trying to laugh at the fact that Kelly and Leona are 'flops' is hypocritical as well as immature and, more importantly, ignorant.

Anyway, moving on. IGY is the VIP Track Of The Week on The Box so should improve after the weekend.

I retracted that comment. Should I just say a minor hit album. :)

The reason why Rated R has lifted properly in the UK is becuase the drastic change in music for Rihanna. Echo is Spirit part 2 just another boring collection of ballads. Rated R will climb re-peak with the help of new single 'Rude Boy'. Also Rated R has sold over 1.5 million copies. Echo just touching 800,000 worldwide. :)

Echo is far from a collection of ballads :s Showing your ignorance there just to continue with your little agenda.

LOL well unfortunately for you this is the UK, and again what are the sales for Rated R in the UK? I'm guessing maybe half of echo, if so, you calling echo a flop what would that make rated r?

Difference is too that rihanna has had russian roulette, hard and rude boy all promoting her new album. IGY is just starting out on TV and airplay once that gets started echo will be back in top 40 hitting over 650,000 sales by next month.

Echo has actually sold over a million worldwide ;) Keep up.

(i'm a fan of rihanna btw :), she is also a big fan of leona and vice versa)

Tacticz, LL1 please watch out what your saying: "matey" "who do you think you are" comments are pointless to use if you don't want to start a personal fight.

thanks ;)

And while i'm trying to ignore it, i have to put you straight. Listen to Echo first before you have an opinion on it. It is definitely not Spirit 2.0. Spirit was pop/R&B. Echo is more pop/rock with a slight country vibe and a dance song. Far more diverse as an album. Love Letter, IGY, Brave, OMH and Naked aren't ballads. Mid-tempos at least. You say boring, i say deep with substance. Shame Echo can't re-peak. Already been at the highest possible position.

I would also say Rihanna has an advantage seeing as though she's American. She has a far more reliable team with more money to invest in her etc. Leona's done well for a british artist to even dent the US charts let alone get a huge #1 single and album.

Echo is far from a collection of ballads :s Showing your ignorance there just to continue with your little agenda.

Then how would you describe Echo? To be honest I love Leona but do you actually think that Echo has an organic sound.

Stop argueing, Kelly Clarkson is not a flop as her latest album did well and she had a number one single not that long ago, even though her last 2 did underperform a little, doesn't make her a flop.

Leona's defo not a flop, a number two single is not classed as a flop and neither is a number one, double platnium selling album. This era, compared to Spirit has not been as good but LeLe now doesn't have as much of the so-called 'X Factor help'' behind her as much as she did with the Spirit era. Also I Got You looking like its going to underperform is just bad single choice by her management as Leona still has a massive fan base.

As for Rihanna floping, her album just isn't as commertial as her previous stuff and as the more singles come out, I expect it to re-peak and the sales are

actually quite good, just not as good as they have been. The singles have been performing fantasticly.

None of those are flops- just not as sucsessful as they have been but still are performing well so no arguement needed!

Outta My Head (which I love), Happy, I Got You, My Hands, Stop Crying Your Heart Out and Love Letter

Trunkman - wise words.

And ben good work :)

Lets keep the peaceeee! :-)

Tacticz i'd recomment 'Cant Breathe' & 'Lost Then Found' with One republic, those two are probably my favourites! & 'Naked' is great!

Cold Case Love, rihanna has to release that one!!

Now in all honesty, would you really call Echo a "collection of ballads"?

Outta My Head - undeniably a dance record. Leona sings/performs it so well.

Happy - a ballad but one that many have connected to.

I Got You - mid-tempo at least. Great message like Happy.

MH - Probably the only proper ballad on the album along with Happy, Broken, SCYHO and Alive. Ok that's five ballads

Love Letter - this is very up-tempo. Like an up-tempo Taylor Swift track imo.

And Echo does have an organic sound. I've said it before - very organic, very authentic and very natural.

People need to realise singing songs that people can connect to emotionally doesn't make them "boring ballads" :)
