February 17, 201015 yr Norway played a great game and had a very competitive 1st period against Canada, their goalie really made some incredible saves throughout! Well, no suprice Canada won so I'm not taking it so bad  Well, at least Norway won against USA in curling, with new panties  I really like the one we used against Canada  at least we didn't change much with them, still looks awzam :kink: Oh and Norway's flopping in Men's cross country 15km is the 30th most watched on TV in Norway
February 17, 201015 yr ... oh and Canada won over Norway in Curling as well :( Does grown men chasing an Edwardian bed-warmer down a slippy aisle with a brush constitute a real sport though? Norma
February 17, 201015 yr Does grown men chasing an Edwardian bed-warmer down a slippy aisle with a brush constitute a real sport though? Norma Erm yeah ;D Chess is alsow a sport you know
February 17, 201015 yr Erm yeah ;D Chess is alsow a sport you know No ... Chess is a game ... no-one on earth will convince me that it is a sport. Same as Darts and Snooker (well snooker maybe - all that lifting of pint-pots takes some effort) Besides ... it was a joke! Norma Edited February 17, 201015 yr by Norma_Snockers
February 17, 201015 yr *cough* and why does Poker get shown on Sky Sports I've actually been watching quite a bit at night. Germans certainly know how to handle a sledge!
February 17, 201015 yr If Norway don't get gold tonight it will be our worst Olympic Games start since 1984 :manson:
February 17, 201015 yr After what has gone on so far in the Olympics and whilst watching the near fatal Woman's Downhill I want to know who is responsible for the design of these courses: Is it this guy? http://iconsoffright.com/news/saw-billy.jpg
February 17, 201015 yr I've been loving the men's figure skating. I really liked the Swiss guy, Lambiel, loved his style, wish he could've done better.
February 17, 201015 yr It is one thing for a relative inexperienced luger to suffer a fatality and put it down to lack of experience; but if the Olympics Woman's Downhill does this to a 5 time Olympic medallist and seven times skiing World Champion how can anyone not say this course is not dangerous. Please note the pictures in this clip cut away before it got really nasty to view hence cutting to the faces of the Swedish coach and the (likely) winner Lindsey Vonn. EkJfCGtYjmI Anja Pärson crash Vancouver 2010 Olympics Would like to watch it but cant cos the IOC has pulled it..... Thing is though mate, all the experience in the world cant mitigate for a split second error of judgement... I dont really believe that this course can be any more dangerous than Val D'isere or Kitzbuehl tbh.... I watched plenty of "Ski Sunday" progs with some pretty fukkin' hair-raising crashes, even amonst the most experienced skiiers.. Downhill skiing is by its very nature pretty dangerous, as really are all these outdoor Winter sports, I mean, Ski-jumping is just crazy when you sit back and think about it....
February 18, 201015 yr We're showing really $h!tty results, this is the worst Olympics for us so far in many many years! :(
February 18, 201015 yr that Australian referee on the short track speed skating last night was soooo anti-British! Harshly DSQ'd one of our female skaters for bumping into another contender on the 1st corner when everyone's fighting for the line, and then a 2nd skater should have been put through, as a Korean almost wiped her out on the final corner (but was allowed through naturally). Meh!
February 19, 201015 yr Yeeey! Norway got their 100th golden medals in the winter games yesterday!! :w00t: We have now 101 :kink:
February 20, 201015 yr http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/olympic_ga...ton/8520464.stm Great Britain are off the mark with their first individual Gold medal in the Winter Olympics since Robin Cousins in the Figure Skaking in 1980. :w00t:
February 20, 201015 yr Congratulations Amy! God the Skeleton does look rough though! It makes the Luge look like a chauffeur driven limo in comparison most of the time.
February 23, 201015 yr So... Norway vs Great Britain in curling tonight!! Go Norway  Our men so far have not crumbled under the pressure like our woman have done. But it is not quite Amundsen v Scott is it. But hopefully the result will be different. :D Latest: GB 3-2 up after 2 ends.
