February 14, 201015 yr No real shock seeing Ben so low, for me i think its fairly obvious they are building Ben up to be a gay charactor, and if Phil stays and that storyline comes about they really need to replace that lump of annpyance who currently plays him.
February 14, 201015 yr FABULOUS commentary so far. I have to admit though, I've been gradually seeing the pros of having Ben Mitchell in EE. I think the turning point was Suzy Branning's Christmas Day speech, when she dismissed him as "weak sperm". And from then I have seen the huge potential in this. Simpering, musical-loving, wet blanket Ben, as the son of Phil Mitchell. It's utter comedy genius! One awaits the day when he grows up and starts demanding Phil take him to the ballet, or starts ordering fruity cocktails at the Vic.
February 14, 201015 yr Author 57 (52) Jordan Johnson 1.56 (1.94) http://i48.tinypic.com/2vsj3tt.jpg A massive achievement of a character whose shining moment thus far came when he campaigned for what felt like decades for the planting of a tree in honour of his dead, drug-addled mother, Jordan didn't waste much time in adding his name to the long list of Walford's whining children. In his defence however his mum was a waster and he did have to suffer the trauma of her disappearance followed by Denise doing her best to hide her glee whilst announcing Trina had turned up dead, so he has more of an excuse to moan than a couple of the other scoundrels who will be putting in appearances shortly. On top of that I don't think he's actually a bad character - a little slow, but for the son of a priest, surprisingly tolerable (in small doses) (which is perfect since the writers only remember he exists once every few months). 56 (-) Dotty Cotton 1.63 (-) http://i46.tinypic.com/293twe9.jpg It feels like this little scrotum has been terrorising us for far too long not to have featured in the previous rate, but there you go. Amazingly the widely ridiculed granddaughter of Dot has avoided a bottom three placing. In WHAT WORLD Jordan is a worse character than this Victorian orphan I do not know. The potential was there. A little girl who was going to use her innocence and charm to con an ageing woman out of her fortune, perhaps even bump her off if necessary. It could've been completely fabulous, but perhaps they felt that, having re-cast Nasty Nick for the sixteenth time they had to find an equally appalling child co-actor so as not to show him up for the NON-ACTOR that he is. So we got Dotty. A dreadful recreation of a working girl from the turn of the 20th century who chokes out her sentences with all the fluidity of a horse on crack. Frequently I watch Eastenders with a housemate or casual viewer; frequently they comment that they would enjoy stabbing Dotty. This girl induces vitriol in the most placid of men. GET. RID.
February 14, 201015 yr Dotty is no shock either as i dont know many who like her, she doesnt bother me nearly as much as some people, jordan again coming low is no surprise as he doesnt have a huge part in the show, all in all no shocks SO FAR!
February 15, 201015 yr Jordan isn't bad, just a total non-entity. Maybe there'll be something when the truth about Trina comes out. Dotty is an odd one - on the one hand I despise her because she IS absolutely abysmal. On the other hand, a murderous 7 year old travelling forward in time from the 1800s to kill off Dot Cotton is kind of so utterly ridiculous it's genius. The writers should be applauded at any rate, even if the execution was pisspoor.
February 15, 201015 yr Id say the day Dot decides to leave EastEnders Dotty will definitly play a part in it.
February 15, 201015 yr Of course being gay is not a crime and was not a factor in the voting - I rather think in fact it's helped the popularity of characters like Syed and Christina (see the ample loons on DS who consider both to be the show's best two characters?!) This is very true. I'm not a member, but I do look through DS quite often, and they do absolutely loon over any and every gay character on TV as if it's the second coming. They did the same with Todd on Corrie, and the John-Paul/Craig saga on Hollyoaks, when in reality all three of those characters were whining, selfish bast*rds who were all cheating on their girlfriends! DS of course ignored that.
February 15, 201015 yr  @ Christina. I didn't get around to doing this cos I only got into Eastenders but if it was a few months ago "Christian" would have been right at the bottom. Horrible stereotype of a gay man. But then the story with Syed came out, and he was shown to have a couple of scraps of humanity. If he's top 10 though, I will be reasonably disgusted.
February 15, 201015 yr haha Jordan does nothing for me. Dotty is love/hate she does make me laugh a bit and is better than most of the kiddy actors!
February 15, 201015 yr Not much to say really  A fairly horrific bottom 4 they are. I dont remember how Jordan looks like and I dont get why the hell Adam is still there.
February 15, 201015 yr I dont get why the hell Adam is still there. I can only assume some sort of positive discrimination? Sounds harsh, but I'm sure if it was any other character they'd have been axed as soon as Josie Lawrence handed her notice in. There doesn't seem to be any reason to keep him around, the only one he seems to like in the Square is Libby, who is spending half of her time in Oxford anyway.
February 15, 201015 yr Yea I imagine once some sort of furthur story plays out with those 3 - Darren, Libby and Adam :puke2: - Adam will finally vanish. Can't happen soon enough.
February 15, 201015 yr Personally I find the entire Darren/Libby/Adam trio to be a bit digusting but that's just me :P I don't know who Jordan is but the rest of the bottom ones so far are much deserved.
February 17, 201015 yr Okay let's GO. Positions and scores from the previous rate in (BRACKETS). 59 (54) Ben Mitchell 1.06 (0.53) Nobody wants a son like Ben Mitchell. Ian gave him away and hasn't looked back since. Phil frequently deserts him for days on end. There is a reason for this. The boy is a teary little wet wipe of a child, the remarkable thing being that despite being as good as unloved we as an audience feel NO SYMPATHY for him. He is a monotone charisma vacuum. This boy will not be bedding the Dawn Swanns and Lisa Fowlers of Albert Square in ten years time. Of course being gay is not a crime and was not a factor in the voting - I rather think in fact it's helped the popularity of characters like Syed and Christina (see the ample loons on DS who consider both to be the show's best two characters?!) - but being sappy and moany IS, so Phil Mitchell, I salute you. Leave him home alone more often. And maybe play him a homosexuality cure hypnotherapy tape during his sleep. 58 (-) Adam Best 1.36 (-) I think it likely that everybody has come across an Adam Best at some point during their lives. I also think it likely that they had to fight the urge not to tip him out of his wheelchair and into the lake. As with Ben being a boy-girl crossover, being disabled is not what has handicapped Adam's character. Being a smarmy cunt HAS. This jumped-up little jerk thinks he's Walford's answer to Robert Pattinson and I for one cannot wait for the day when he inevitably gets knocked back by Libby (and what a crap crush, although I suppose to his credit he understands the league system). What with his dull and underused mother Manda having left in huff following Minty's life-altering confession this week I fully expect Adam to follow. It cannot come soon enough. This post actually made me laugh out loud especially the league system bit. Really looking forward to the rest of this if this is the standard of the commentary.
