Regarding Cheryl being a judge on X Factor - is she any worse a singer than Louis or Simon?
How very dare you! Just as Cheryl is the nation's sweetheart ... Robbie is the nation's hero! A cheeky chappie with a cheerful song and a smile for every occasion.

I thought GaGa was the best of the night ... she strove to be different and she succeeded.

norma!!! theres no simularity between cole and williams, williams IS a fully paid up competant performer, cole is a fake.

She strove to prove those wrong, who said she could only put on a good show if gimmicks were involved... and she succeeded

exactly!

singing isnt their job....

OK! So he's a cheeky-chappie with a cheery smile and song for every occasion ... plus he's competent!

Whatever has happened to your spelling Rob? Two words in there that you've got wrong!

Norma

God, that Robbie medley plunged new depths. And the brainless masses LOVED IT. What the hell has happened to him? He always looks and sounds completely dead nowadays...

Cant stand either of them tbh.... But, as Rob said, I give credit to Williams for being a competent performer who's actually proven himself, even if I cant really stand the material, whereas Cole is just a vile fake with no discernible talent whatsoever....

Ga Ga kicks all their asses though.... She's the one shining light in a sea of total mediocrity as far as the mainstream/Brits goes.... I think it stands as testament to her cross-over appeal when she can pack out a dancefloor in an Alternative/Rock club.... Same goes for Little Boots... As far as I'm concerned she beats La Roux or Florence and the Machine hands down....

As for JLS... WTF????????   JLS probably stands for Just Louis' Stooges....

This forum really is strange. People moaned about Lady GaGa but the bummage Cheryl Cole recieved over her performance?

Tbf I though it was an okay-ish show. Lady GaGa was utterly amazing, I thought that version of 'Telephone' worked really well. Jay-Z & Alecia Keyes where amazing also, and I thouroughly enjoyed Kasabian & the Florence and Dizzee mix.

However, Cheryl Cole was fukking awful. Poor dancing, poor miming, she looked trashy. I felt sorry for her before she came on (after what's been reported in the news) but then I just stopped caring.

I have a mixed opinion however on Robbie. Tbh I don't think he actually deserved that award..

The bummage?! look back at the comments, and look on Digital Spy- her performance was absolutely slated, and rightfully so, nothing against her but it was a complete car crash

it reminded me of Jedwards performances on XF last year- so terrible, yet entertaining :kink:

.... you arnt going to get the musical intelligencia subscribing to the brits are you.. and was still a league better then cheryl cole.

gaga?... a well deserved winner, a superb performer, creative, individual (but not really original) but i didnt like her shy american acceptance speeches ....

I think it's really impossible to be "original" in this day and age, I think creative and individual interpretations are probably the best we can hope for... Ga Ga does more than enough to elevate herself from the common herd, and it certainly doesn't hurt that she's a classically trained pianist influenced by Bowie, Freddie, Madonna, Lennon/McCartney, 80s synthpop, etc... Acceptance speeches, a tad mawkish... We wanted a little more ATTITUDE to be honest.... Her idols were certainly no shrinking violets....

Little Boots is another one I've got a lot of time for.... Florence and the Machine...? hmmm, my own personal jury's still out on her, I blow hot and cold tbh... Pretty much decided that I cannot fukkin' STAND La Roux though......

Gaga indeed stands out from everyone else and love her or hate there is no getting away from her plus she has the sales to back her up so im glad she won as she has done quite a few brilliant singles so far and also has delivered some brilliant tv performances, although the brit performance was ok i felt it lacked the usual magic she can often deliver.

Give the girl a break mate, she has to keep something back for the upcoming UK live shows.....

It hasn't actually ... this is the first time I've noticed it from you! Or maybe my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be!

thats harsh! .... reluctantly ive grown to quite like williams, hes a character, a showman, and has done some decent pop songs.. not cutting edge, nor particually original, but still ok.

seriously.... its bad

back in 72 our class had 2 tests, both out of 30, i got 28/30 in both.... one was biology, i came top...the other was spelling...i came bottom!!!!!!

Doesn't his bloody 'neediness' and constant craving for approval get on your nerves though? You're right though he has made a modest talent go a long, long way ... and you don't stay 20 years in the business for nothing.

Never really liked him tbh... Always felt that he was a bit desperate, especially when he was in that phase when he was basically a 'Hanger On' of Liam and Noel's...

Like I say, he's a competent enough performer, but I dont subscribe to his brand of MOR I'm afraid....

Guess I feel the opposite to the majority re Robbie. He's had some good material over the years & I really like quite a few tracks on his latest album but I much prefer to listen to him than watch him. To me he sucks all the meaning & soul out of his songs with his larking about. Guess as a performer I just don't get him.

As for Mrs Cole she just isn't worthy of a comment.
