Robbie's flesh-ripping music video, Rock DJ, has been nominated in 4Music's 50 Greatest Pop Videos poll, and only you can make sure he tears pieces off the opposition and emerges the victor!

Take a look at the full music video and then help Robbie, complete with his tiger pants and rollerskating disco divas, scoop the top prize by heading to the 4Music website and casting your vote.

Voting close at 12:00 GMT on Monday, 1st March so be quick and be sure to vote, vote, vote before then (only one vote permitted per email address).

Although I'd have to say Thriller should really win :P

And the flesh ripping was the best bit :P

I've voted Rock DJ as I definatly think it is one of the greatest vids ever made, although considering it is only ever the edited version shown on TV - most people probably don't even know the ending  In reality though, if anything other than 'Thriller' wins, it will be a bit of a joke really. Afterall 'Thriller' was to music videos what The Beatles were to pop/rock music. Ah Ha's Take On Me was pretty great too though so I suspect that will feature in the top 5. Although MJ does in my view have over half a dozen truly iconic music videos... calling some of them music videos would be doing them a disservice as they would really short films. One of my personal favourite was a pretty unknown one called 'Ghosts' - it is the longest video ever - I think it was over 40 minutes long - amazing video but never really played <_<
Did Sin Sin Sin not make the list then? A travesty in my opinion :smoke:

18 May 2010

Robbie's flesh-ripping music video, Rock DJ, has finished third in 4Music's 50 Greatest Pop Videos poll.

The Top Ten

1 Thriller by Michael Jackson

2 Toxic by Britney Spears

3 Rock DJ by Robbie Williams

4 Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai

5 Single Ladies by Beyonce

6 Weapon Of Choice by Fatboy Slim

7 Poker Face by Lady GaGa

8 Take On Me by A-Ha

9 Vogue by Madonna

10 Like A Prayer by Madonna

Controversy in 2000

The Rock DJ video was surrounded by controversy when it was released a decade ago, due to its explicit content of gore and nudity. The full-length, uncensored video was shown exclusively on RobbieWilliams.com way back in 2000 and branded with a 15-certificate!

Take a look at the full music video in all its gory below, complete with Robbie in his iconic tiger pants and who can forget the flesh-eating rollerskating disco divas?!

Thanks for voting!

Delighted Rock DJ got so high - very well deserved. It is an iconic video at this stage and I am glad it is getting the recognition it deserves. Most people don't even know about the amazing second half of the video as it is never shown on TV so they just think it's Rob taking his clothes off

On another vote HOW THE f*** is Poker Face a better video that Like A Prayer and Take On Me? I mean honestly, you could'nt make it up.

Well done Robbie :cheer: and Madonna :cheer:

 @ Poker Face  I don't think I've ever seen the vid to that tbh

I can't even remember Toxic. Must have been really iconic then....

Take on Me was good. And where is Sledgehammer? That was a cracking video.

I love Jamiroquai but 4th really???
