I did see that but I can't understand WHY it didn't chart in the album chart for?. As IGTTTAS made #40 & Confessions cd & Dvd set made #10 on the Irish album chart. Or is it new rules?.
#17 in the UK is disapointing considering it was #4 in the first set of midweeks, i had a feeling it would slip out of the top 10 with the mid week updates showing it falling but i expected #11 or #12 and definitly top 15.

#17 is dissapointing for Madonna standards but it is a cd & dvd set with also a Blu Ray set out too.

The tour started in 2008 Madonna played at wembley stadium & Cardiff Millennium Stadium then in 2009 with 2 shows at the O2 arena and 1 date in Manchester. With just 12.4k sales is low with the dvd set. The cd doesn't really offer much new as only really the hard candy live tracks are the only "new" part & of course the Get Stupid interlude. Music, Like A Prayer have been done to death along with Vogue. Maybe the set was released too late?. Madonna herself didn't need to promote it but Warner should have with a tv ad or something.

I'm quite a casual Madonna fan (fanatic during the Confessions era though!) and I didn't even realise it was out until the other day so I probably won't pick it up until later this week, if at all. It was released a bit too late and I don't think there was enough excitement or good-feeling towards Hard Candy for casual fans and the general public to be interested in picking up a live set based around the album.

I have to agree with your view on the casual fan. Hard Candy is a great album but sadly after the confessions era some peoples interest went too. I don't think the right tracks were picked for the cd you would have thought 4 Minutes would have made it as it was the lead single instead of just being a bonus track on itunes.

I think with less fan interest after the confessions era plus taking nearly a year and a half after the show was filmed would of cost it sales. Madonna herself didn't need to promote this but Warner could of atleast done advertising on it. Unless you are not a fan you wouldn't know it was out.

Cheers for that!. It wouldn't surprise me if it was just outside of the top 40 by sunday. Like I'm Going To Tell You A Secret did 18-41.
Ya i think it will have a very similar chart run, if last weeks midweeks are anything to go by the album will drop and drop as the midweeks come through.

Yeah I would say 3 weeks maximum in the top 75. It's a shame as it probably is her greatest tour to date in my view. I do love the others too!. But the cd really doesn't offer much.

Anyway in Switzerland the set debuts at #5 making it her 17th top 5 album there. The Erotica album also peaked at #5 there.
