Robbie Williams has reportedly offered his support to Mark Owen following the star's infidelity confession.

According to the Daily Star, Williams has invited his former Take That bandmate to use his Los Angeles home as a place to work through his problems with wife Emma or to spend some time alone.

Owen yesterday confirmed that he had cheated on Emma with around ten different women before they tied the knot last November.

A source said: "Mark has confessed to having issues with booze, and with his own substance abuse past Robbie is the perfect person to offer him support."

Owen is said to have been kicked out by Emma following his revelations, leaving the future of the couple's marriage uncertain.

Boring isn't it? Why doesn't Mark go and join Rob in his backing band (I'm sure Rob could find a place for him if he brushes up on his bass guitar skills - he's passable on the keyboards too), Howard can be free to dj full time, Gary can go off and write some more songs whilst climbing a mountain and Jason can go an philosophise (sp?) At least they could say they left 'while at the top' ... I think this is just going to drag on and on and perpetuate the Rob/Take That link.

Well robbie and mark were close and mark always felt guilt over what happened robbie, its only natural they would bond over all this in my opinion.
Is this the reason that the TT site is down ... that's a bit pathetic if I'm being honest.

Oh god I dread to think what the reaction has been over there with that lot :puke2:

maybe they took it down as they knew the news was breaking.

It must be. You can still get to the home page but the 'community' or 'forums' are 'unavailable' ... so it is definitely down to this. To be honest ... the official Take That site sucks anyway ... and part of that is to do with Take That's lack of interest in it. At least the official Robbie site seems to have some input from the man himself. The only time there is any 'news' on the TT site is when they're trying to sell you something. I mean, I may be mistaken here ... but isn't it part of the official site's duties to inform the fans of sales figures, etc? The only time anyone got any info there was when someone got it from Music Week themselves and posted it! I hope they don't open the bloody thing up again ... waste of space. I mean ... for innocent chit-chat and friendly banter ... the TTAP site is better.

I wonder when Mark was informed the story was breaking and how long he had to tell Emma,

I wonder if the bloke at the Sun ... Gordon Smart didn't tip him off ... even if it meant a conflict of interests? He must have been tipped off by someone. And Smart (when he's interviewed) seems like a fairly decent bloke ... too decent to be working on a tabloid anyway.

Ya that could indeed be very true, as the way he is editing the story, the story considering what it is is been published in the nicest way possible with references to how he has met mark quite a few times and saying he is one of the nicest people he has ever met.
I feel the tiniest bit sorry for him even though he totally brought this on himself. Not half as sorry as I feel for his wife and kids and the rest of his family though. He obviously has problems besides the alcohol. Who really knows but some of it seems to stem from when TT broke up. They were all very seriously affected by it in different ways. I always assumed that Mark was the least affected but obviously not. As Iris already pointed out - just because someone is smiling doesn't mean that they are happy.

I've put a link here to the Take That News Thread ... still regarding this.

The article in the Mail is so totally wrong (with regard to dates etc) so I've no doubt the rest is a pile of pants. I mean ... I'm not doubting Mark's 'fooling around' but the mail is just trying to get in on the act now! Oh ... sure its no surprise ... but the reason Mark came clean is because I think his 'woman' had warned him that she was going to the press ... so he got in there first!

There will be so so many false reports knocking around now for a while and we will get so many emma said this and emma said that type stories, id say tho after a month or so it will all be forgotten again.
I always liked Mark. But I can't say I feel sorry for him. -_- Chickens coming home to roost and all that.

But anyway, on a lighter note. I had to laugh at this spoof article. So true. If he hadn't been rumbled I doubt he would have 'confessed' anything.

I've just laughed at that in the Robbie Forum. Even for a spoof ... it still appreciates the really talented 'fat one'!

Its weird how mark went to so much trouble as in hynosis etc to give up smoking, but he ocntinued to smoke marijana and continued drinking like a fish, surely then he realised drink was a bigger problem for him than smoking 20 marlboro lights!

Mark Owen books into a private clinic after 'cracking up' over the collapse of his marriage By Tom Bryant - exclusive 13/03/2010

Mark Owen last night booked into a private clinic after cracking up over the collapse of his marriage.

The guilt-ridden Take That star has been “totally distraught” since wife Emma kicked him out over his affairs with 10 women. Owen, 38, is also battling booze problems and depression.

A source said: “Mark has sunk to his lowest ebb. We all feared he was about to have a breakdown so he was persuaded it was in his best interest to get help immediately. He is absolutely distraught.

“Mark has moved into the clinic and will be treated for his drink problem and for depression.

Friends believe Owen is showing symptoms similar to those he displayed after sinking into a deep depression when the band split in 1996.

Since the breakdown of his five-month marriage to 33-year-old Emma, below, the singer has barely eaten, constantly breaks down in tears and rarely takes calls.

The source added: “He is beside himself and has gone into his shell. He is clinging on to hope as he feels that is all he has left of winning back Emma’s love and affection. It’s almost as if it’s finally sunk in what he may be losing. He loves Emma and the kids so much but it’s all crumbling before his eyes.”

Owen repeatedly denied he was having an affair despite his wife’s nagging suspicions.

A friend said: “If he had owned up there and then, the situation might not be quite as bad as it is now.”

The singer only came clean when he realised one lover, 24-year-old accounts manager Neva Hanley, was about to go public on their fling.

Emma was spotted out and about without her wedding ring yesterday.

The couple, who have children Elwood, three, and one-year-old Willow Rose, had showdown talks at their £2million South West London home on Thursday.

Owen looked a shambolic, dishevelled figure when he was dropped off at the house. There had been talk of a trial separation. But an insider said: “He is out on his ear, but Mark accepts her decision fully.”

After the break-up of Take That the star sank into a deep depression. At his worst, he barely got up before 1pm after staying up all night boozing on white wine.

He used to “potter” around the house, listening to loud music as he career ground to a halt. Owen said at the time: “I didn’t have direction. I think I was lonely.”

The Mirror revealed yesterday how Owen had cut back his boozing after admitting he had a drink problem. And the singer has let the rest of the band know about his battle with the bottle.

I do think he tryed to hold everything under control also with drugs and alcohol. But exactly this kind of addicition as he has where the addicted keeped himself under control the most of the time, are the worst to get control over. I mean, he was never drunk on the interviews, promotion, TV and radio apparition (apart from one Brit award show, which shows actually how insecure and afraid he was) or at the gigs. He was never to be seen drunk when he was with his kids. He drank always after work... Also he didn't seemed under drugs to me in none pic or video. Robbie got out of control a lot, Mark didn't in his public appearance. Mark is a little bit like Michael J Fox, he was also "nice" and "cute" and a heavy silent drunker.

I have told you all the time that Mark had a lot of hard times, not only Gary. But the silent ones are the deepest ones. For those taking the time to listen to his solo songs, his third dimension was clear (tip, just look on youtube after "Wasting away" and "Baby I'm not good", to see what i mean).

I am glad he got in the clinic, as he is now really hitting the bottom. His family problems are his and Emma to clear, so i won't discuss anymore. I just hope that his friends, those people he helped over the years will stand by him now and help him. I hate the idea that the other four are keeping making the album without him for example. Postponing seems to me still a better idea: can you see Mark in 6 month capable to make promotion tour? Getting questions after questions? Surviving the scrutinity of papers and public? I don't! And if they do in the formel 3+or-Robbie, TT is ended for me, as it will be the TT 1 again all over when they let Robbie down and continue without the one "with problems". Image over friendship. I am a bit sad that the other three didn't bother with a message on TTO, a little "Get well, we are beside to you" would be nice to hear. But yeah, Norma, TTO (i have said also a lot of times before) is one of the worse and lame band website i saw.

Cheating is not nice, is one of the worse thing a man could do to his wife, but he did that not to the public or his fans. People forget too easy that he gave in his music the best for the fans, that he was always the heart in live gigs, that he was the one always smilling and having a good word for the fans, that he has done a lot for charities (not on the scale Gary did, he liked more small charities and causes), that he helped a lot of artists, his backing musicians. He did a lot of mistakes but also a lot of good. Like every person in the world....

That is the last thing i had to say on this thema. It is up to him now and up to his friends to help him. His music has helped me in my dark times, so now is my turn to support further the artist Mark Owen.

I agree with what you saying but i add that i feel so sorry for Emma she most be going through hell right now, but i really hope they can work it out and it does work for them as i know he cheated but he does genuinly seem to love and respect emma just a shame he didnt show it to her more and be more respectful of her.

But you know the girl he was having the long term affair with is a shallow person, what annoys me about her is she was friends with mark outside this whole thing and was only to happy to take sums of money off him when needed, if she felt so bad about betraing emma why didnt she stop it sooner or why didnt she tell her, instead she wants to go public. Does this woman honestly think people will believe she is doiing what she is doing because she was looking out for emma??

Im not syaing mark is not at fault as he most certainly is but f this shallow little trollop who he had an affair with think people will believe she is oding this for all the right reasons i think she is deluded, if she is what mark calls a friend i would hate to see what his enemies are like.
