Posted March 11, 201015 yr Just to try to spice up the Rihanna forum a bit, i came up with the idea that if the Rated R songs were released as singles in whichever order where do you think they'll peak in both US and UK charts... :) Since Russian Roulette and Rude Boy are already released they wont be in the list :P and since Mad House is an intro it obviously wont be released as a single B) Send in your thoughts :) Me thinks: Wait Your Turn - US around Top 20 i think probably #15, UK around #7-#10. Hard - it's already released in the US, in the UK i see it around #4-#8. Stupid In Love - quite a tricky one, me thinks #18 in the US and #5 in the UK. Rockstar 101 - HOT track, #5-#7 in the US and #4 in the UK if released in summer. Fire Bomb - this is just pure genius - #5-#8 in the US and probs #7-#9 in the UK. Photographs - BEP beat so #3-#10 defo Top 10, low top 10 in the UK probs around #8. G4L - not ideal tbh, Top 40 scrape in the US #32, flop in the UK :P #25. Te Amo - Top 30 in the US around #21, top 20 in the UK too #17. Cold Case Love - i love this if there was a radio edit defo top 10 contender in the US probs between #7-#20. UK-wise around #9-#12 The Last Song - amazing vocals but not single worthy, since it's last :P i think it'll bomb lol Top 40 in the US & UK.
March 12, 201015 yr I like the idea of this a lot :D this is based on UK peaks, right? :P anyways, Wait Your Turn: 15 but would have been 01 if the first single released from the album. Hard: 07 as it's already had high sales when the video was shown. Stupid In Love: 04 I think it's a little like 'take a bow' which got to 01 which is why I think this, but wouldn't be as successful I reckon. Rockstar 101: 13 just sounds like one of them songs that'd be top 15, missing out on the top 10. Fire Bomb: 01 it's different to anything else she's done, very edgy and would be brilliant for the summer. Photographs: 04 kind of like the peak of cheryl cole's '3 words' as they both have will.i.am on it. G4L: 17 reminds me of 'rehab' a bit, which is why it'd probably have a similar success to it. Te Amo: 03 just sounds like it could be a good hit. Cold Case Love: 02 would be amazing in autumn, or as an album closer. even better if both. The Last Song: 23 should just be left as an album track, imo.
April 4, 201015 yr Me thinks: Wait Your Turn - #15 in the US, in the UK #5. Hard - it's already released in the US, in the UK it would peak at #8. Stupid In Love - This could do quite well it like a 'Unfaithful' part 2, I think #7 in the US and #2 in the UK. Rockstar 101 - Fave song off Rated R, #3 in the US and #4 in the UK if released in summer. Fire Bomb - 2nd fave off Rated R - #9 in the US and and would peak at #3 in the UK. Photographs - Will.i.am is featured so it will be bound to do well , in the US i think it would peak at #7, in the UK low probably peak around #4 or #5. G4L - It will not reach the top 50 in the US (it's too violent for US radio), in the UK it would do be moderately successful it would peak around #16 or #17. Te Amo - Top 3 in the US around #3, top 3 in the UK it would peak at #3. Cold Case Love - I like this song. In the US, I think it would peak at #21 UK-wise around #20 or #19. The Last Song - Love this song, it defo flop in the US, In the UK it would peak around #26-#28. Edited April 4, 201015 yr by Tacticz
April 4, 201015 yr I think those of you that are including US peaks are thinking of the US chart like the UK chart. For example, a 'Top 40 scrape' is actually fairly good in comparison to over here. If a song goes Top 20 it's pretty much a smash hit - I've seen Top 20 hits in America that sell over 1 million copies. I think you'll find a LOT of the songs on this album (I haven't heard it all) would peak probably Top 30 highest - which out of 100 isn't that bad!
