Posted July 7, 200619 yr I think I'm the only person out of the whole world who cant stick this programme :puke2: Is there any Doctor Who haters out there?
July 7, 200619 yr It's so cheesy and childlike, I've never seen its appeal. We do have a TV forum with two fabulous mods for this, you know ;)
July 7, 200619 yr I love it, when I get the chance to watch it. The last few have been average or less than average though IMO.
July 7, 200619 yr I love the classic series, 1963-1989. And I like the film in 1996. But I can't stand the new ones. They just aren't the same.

July 7, 200619 yr Were they always so cheesy? No. But I kind of like the cheapness more than computer effects. I'd much rather watch a 1966 black and white Troughton episode than a Tennant one.
July 7, 200619 yr It is great compared to the Colin Baker & Sylvester McCoy years. Well why did you have Colin and Sylvester in your sig then?
July 7, 200619 yr I just can't get into Dr Who. I tried but it really does seem like it was made by the CBBC team. And I hate how the CGI is really rubbish - I prefered the old papier maché costumes.
July 7, 200619 yr And I hate how the CGI is really rubbish - I prefered the old papier maché costumes. Me too. :o I watched a clip of the latest episode tonight, and I hated the bit when the Daleks flew out and over the sphere thing. I hate the Cybermen now too. You can't beat the old Cybermen. No metal, no 'delete delete' that is suddenly their saying, lace-up boots, and two round things drawn on for eyes.
July 22, 200618 yr I watched an episode today, it was the very first time I watched "Doctor Who". Anyways, it was the episode where they go to a wedding (in the past) and some creatures start to attack the world. Rose's parents and baby Rose herself were attending the wedding. I didn't get the show too much yet, but maybe it'll grow on me.
July 22, 200618 yr I've been a bit disappointed in the second series to be honest, although the end-of-season two parter was great... I sometimes wish they'd go back to the 25-minute four-parters of the old series, I always loved the cliffhanger endings... :) And, for fukk's sake, can we have more alien landscapes please....? This whole 'almost everything revolving around London' thing is frankly hacking me off..... <_<

I made a thread but not many replied.
July 23, 200618 yr doctor who just is the best, colin bakers great, o.k, i know he tried to kill john nathan turner in 1986 because john drunk colins coffee, but he tried to stay calm....sumtimes... Edited July 23, 200618 yr by Elpresrocket
July 25, 200618 yr I love it and think Freema Agyeman as Martha will be a great replacement for Billie Piper. I also loved the classic series. I liked every Doctor except Tom Baker & Sylvester McCoy. As for the latest series, it was getting more ratings than the rubbish Eastenders (which now only gets 4m viewers) which many people say they like. Edited July 25, 200618 yr by Euro Music
July 25, 200618 yr I also loved the classic series. I liked every Doctor except Tom Baker & Sylvester McCoy. I'm not keen on McCoy, don't like his episodes. Troughton's my favourite, I like the black and white episodes and he had good companions, one being the longest running companion ever which was 4 years.
July 25, 200618 yr I thought of something a while back, which is you know you said Doctor Who could be a woman, how is this possible if he is a Time Lord not Time Lady? I made a thread but not many replied. There were episodes from the old series which had a story set in Gallifrey in which there actually were a few female Timelords.... The term "Timelord" is not meant to be taken literally.... So, yes, there is no real reason why the Doctor could not be a female....
