May 2, 201015 yr wow so shocked my two favorites steph and stephanie in the bottom 2 Edited May 2, 201015 yr by troylovesmusic
May 2, 201015 yr :o Can't believe Stephanie went :o So shocked, Sophie should have gone! Double elimination next week, Sophie and Steph I think
May 2, 201015 yr Stephanie :o didn't expect that. I think Steph will be fine next week as I think it'll be the person with the fewest votes gets eliminated straight away and then the next bottom 2 will be in the sing off, I fully expect Steph will get the sympathy vote for next week. But Sophie and Jenny to go next week please.
May 2, 201015 yr For me this replaces when Ashley left in I'd Do Anything as the biggest shock in a UK singing talent show. But in retrospect being given Mr Bojangles (now 4 times out of 4 - whoever sings it gets a bottom two finish that week) was a pretty clear hint that she was not ALW's chosen one. As I said before I think it is Danielle (yes I know he has looked bored watching some of her performances, but I think he has learnt from past experience, that if you try and make the manipulation too blatant it backfires); with Lauren a very safe 2nd choice. I guess this is why I love the ALW talent shows to Simon Cowell's because they are far less predictable in the voting by the public - probably due to lower levels of votes, and the manipulation is far more subtle probably as the average IQ of those who watch ALW's shows is higher than those who watch Simon Cowell's shows.; and the talent on offer to watch is far higher.
May 2, 201015 yr Anyway here are the new odds after the previous favourite to win has been KO'd: Betfair.com Danielle Evens Fav Lauren 4/1 Jessica 11/2 Jenny 9/1 Steph 9/1 Sophie 28/1
May 2, 201015 yr I didn't see that coming with Stef, I really thought it was bye bye to Sophie, she really needs to pull something big out of the bag next week, waits for T.I.P. to fill the bag with something but I did expect Stephanie in the bottom 2, I had a niggling feeling about it.
May 2, 201015 yr Goodness knows why you're surprised about Stephanie going TIP! Well, presuming you mean to say you're surprised she was bottom two (as it sounds like you weren't at all surprised ALW chose to boot her out). She simply didn't have the likeability factor and came across as very false, which with an audience comprising mostly women of middle-age was never going to wash. I'm only surprised that she wasn't in the bottom two before now. 'Smile' was a very weak performance a week or two back.
May 2, 201015 yr I want to know what she said to Sophie just before the sing off to my family and I it sounded like "it should be you bitch"
May 2, 201015 yr Stephanie was poor the whole way through, if she was ever favourite then it must have been through her off-stage affability. Sophie and Jenny both need to go and soon, they're way off the being finalists. Steph and Jessica are perfectly good runners up, but the final has to be between Danielle and Lauren, and the latter has the stage presence and talent to take it.

Steph and Jessica are perfectly good runners up, but the final has to be between Danielle and Lauren, and the latter has the stage presence and talent to take it. I disagree Stephanie was a stand-out in the first 2 weeks but unfortunately I don't think she progressed unlike almost everyone else. Sophie has to go next week as she is the weakest by a big margin now, especially after Jenny stepped her game up on Saturday. But I agree it has to be either Danielle or Lauren to win.

I'm only surprised that she wasn't in the bottom two before now. 'Smile' was a very weak performance a week or two back. Stephanie has been the favourite to win since the second week of the finals for all too obvious reasons due to her singing and dancing ability. She has put on classy understated performances throughout. But in retrospect from ALW's criticisms of her singing Smile it has been clear that she was not fancied as a chosen one. So the die was cast. She has been stitched up pure and simple, because ALW clearly has his chosen one Danielle whom whilst clearly highly competent vocally, I find completely lacking in charisma and is too nasally IMHO unless he is using her as the Trojan horse to pick up the backlash (so that Lauren whom seems to have escaped criticism so far comes through to win). Indeed it is pretty clear she thinks so as well, matching the growing opinions of a lot of Digitalspy posters over the past few weeks: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s90/over-th...ng-choices.html But I guess I should not complain as ALW's chosen one in I'd Do Anything was Jessica, whom was my favourite as well. So my support will now turn towards OTR's Jessica.
May 3, 201015 yr I don't find Danielle nasally at all. I love her performances so much as well but Lauren has an incredible voice. Although I do like Jessica her hunched back puts me off in her performances. Steph while amazing as well just isn't right for the part imo.
May 6, 201015 yr Yep, Sophie and Jenny are the weakest by a long way. Also it'll then redistribute the ridiculously nationalistic vote among the other contestants who appear to be getting judged on talent and not that they happened to be born across a certain border. (That said, I'll bet the others are benefitting from a north / south / east / west divide too)
May 6, 201015 yr Kinda spoiler warning :P Apparently: Jenny has been 1st every week so far votewise :o Danielle has got less than 10% of all votes on average :o Not sure if to believe this or not...

I always thought Jenny was doing well (even though she isnt one of my faves) I think she will be top 3!
May 6, 201015 yr Kinda spoiler warning :P Apparently: Jenny has been 1st every week so far votewise :o Danielle has got less than 10% of all votes on average :o Not sure if to believe this or not... This doesn't surprise me in the least. Jenny is totally likeable and performs consistently every week, whereas although Danielle is a wonderful & competent performer, comes off cold and I can understand why people can't see past that and don't throw her a vote. That said, Danielle, Lauren and Jenny are my top three.
May 6, 201015 yr Yes, agreed. I had a feeling Jenny was doing well. And let's face it, she deserves to, even if people on the forums seem to have a strange dislike for her. She's been brilliant consistently and managed to hit yet another peak last week with Feeling Good.
May 6, 201015 yr The problem I have with Jenny is that she comes off as cold, not Danielle. I don't feel any emotion from her when watching her performances, bar Songbird. This is what puts Sophie ahead of her in my opinion, she my be a weaker actress, but I feel and understand what she's singing more than Jenny and Jessica (who is dire in every meaning of the word) Edited May 6, 201015 yr by My Hip.
