OMG. Brilliant sales so far! Up to 70,784 by last night, with 3 days' of sales left!

I'll post my review of the album on Saturday! :D

Theo has strange Cheryl taste. Listened to the first six tracks, and won't listen to the rest until my internet speed picks up (which might not be for days, for all I know :(). My favourite so far is 'Yeah Yeah', then we have 'Promise This' & 'Everyone', then 'The Flood' & 'Amnesia', with 'Live Tonight' as my least favourite so far. Doesn't sound too bad though

mtv uk reports:

Cheryl Cole has allegedly landed a £6 million record in the US.

According to The Sun, the Girls Aloud star, who was spotted leaving Los Angeles with a huge grin on her face yesterday, was summoned to America by label giants Universal after her new song, Promise This, topped the UK singles charts on Sunday.

Sources have claimed that Chezza was told she could be huge Stateside and was offered a deal to release her sophomore album, Messy Little Raindrops in America, as well as at least two more LP’s.

As we previously reported, The X Factor judge was spotted in LA with rumoured boyfriend, Derek Hough, as she hid in his car while he chaperoned her around Century City.

An insider told the newspaper: “Cheryl got a call from some very senior people at Universal saying they wanted to see her. They are the kind of people who when they say, ‘Jump’, you ask, ‘How high?’.”

They continued: “So she jumped on a plane and went to LA for 36 hours. Derek was there to ferry her to and fro and give her support as these big execs can be quite scary.”

It is thought that Cole’s XF boss Simon Cowell and close friend, Will.I.Am, helped Cheryl land the US deal, which is still being finalised with the hope that the Parachute singer can sign on the dotted line soon.

if that's true bye bye GA for good! maybe 10 year anniversary single and some box set sh!t to mark the decade but i DO not expect anything more...

but if she gets big in the US she'll be big WW too! and Chezza deserve that

CC for world domination ^_^

Last year it was 77k.

So what most albums aint shifting that amount in the whole week alone or even their lifetime so

:yahoo: :w00t: :cheer: Cheryl!!!

I can't buy the album as my mates told me she's getting me it for my birthday and I'll have to wait :drama:

Still, I couldn't help but have a cheeky listen to the Flood, which is a very nice little track ^_^

FFTL sold 2x more than PT, so I was thinking that Cheryl may sold 65-70k in whole week. I think 70k is an amazing achievement, I just inform how many albums she sold last year ;)

3words had the benefit of a mega hit single and Cheryls solo hype to launch it.

Messy little raindrops has a hit single and is in an increasingly declining album market it's doing really well.

Number 2 again in ireland just like 3 words but im sure it has and will continue to sell well, im not overly disapointed she didnt make number 1 here as Bon Jovi beat her and im a huge huge jovi fan.

Jark! It was obvious it'd be #1 but I didn't want to know the sales!

Glad it's over 100,000 though! :cheer:

Haven't really said much about this album. ATM, I feel it's a bit hit and miss compared to the last album...

That track with Dizzee isn't even great. I find it a bit offending. <_< 'Raindrops' and 'Hummingbird' were a bit boring IMO.

The clubby/dancey stuff suits her ('Let's Get Down' and 'Waiting' for example). And I do love a bit of a 'The Flood'.
