October 15th will see the anticipated release of ‘Glassheart’, the third studio album from one of the most successful British artists of all time, Leona Lewis. Preceded by the brand new single, the gothic pop masterpiece ‘Trouble’, ‘Glassheart’ is an album by an artist really coming of age. A collection of timeless songs, each one potentially a single, Leona has spent her time getting everything absolutely right on this album.

The album was recorded over the last two years between London, Denver and Los Angeles and sees Leona working with an executive producer for the first time: Fraser T Smith. The pair first met over ten years ago when Leona was unknown and recording demos, working hard for that first big break. A decade later and Leona stepped back into the vocal booth in front of Fraser as a global superstar. Sharing a vision and a passion for everything this album should be, ‘Glassheart’ is an accomplished and passionate follow up to Leona’s previous two studio albums; ‘Spirit’ and ‘Echo’.

From the anguished epic opener of ‘Trouble’ – the first single – the sheer breathtaking beauty of ‘Fireflies’ and the heartbreaking honesty of ‘Un Love Me’, ‘Glassheart’ is an intimate, inspired album that sees Leona opening up and laying her emotions bare. Along with tracks like ‘Fingerprint’ and ‘When It Hurts’ this album cements her position as one of the greatest vocalists of her generation.

In May of this year Leona previewed the edgy ‘Come Alive’ when she opened the Hackney Weekend, showcasing a different sound and energy that can also be heard on tracks ‘Glassheart’ and ‘Shake You Up’. Another stand out moment is the moody ‘I To You’, an epic and sinister ballad set against a lush sound-bed of strings.

Leona said: “Glassheart is an album I’ve poured my heart and soul into. It’s raw, emotional and progressive. I’m so proud of this record and can’t wait to share it.”

A real labour of love, Leona has spent time putting together an album that she is immensely proud of. Alongside Fraser, Leona worked with some of the best songwriters and producers around, including: Emeli Sandé, Naughty Boy, Ina Wroldsen, Bonnie McKee, Jörgen Elofsson, Ryan Tedder, Autumn Rowe, Ammo and Rodney Jerkins. Fraser came on board last year following a recording session that Leona felt exactly captured the spirit and subtleties of ‘Glassheart’. He was able to weave a creative thread though the project and help Leona create a bespoke album. Speaking about Fraser’s involvement Leona said, “He’s captured everything so beautifully. He’s so musical and sensitive to what I need as a vocalist.”

This collection of songs simultaneously showcase the sheer power and intimacy of Leona’s incredible voice. For an artist that has enjoyed unparalleled success, broken world records and sold over 20 million singles and albums, ‘Glassheart’ is Leona Lewis at her best.

She looks stunning

"Lovebird", "Come Alive", "I to You" and "Shake You Up" are my favourites from those clips. "Come Alive" could surprise me, as I found the live performance quite weak. "I to You" doesn't sound like anything Leona's ever done before, which is a good thing! "Shake You Up" sounds like it'll be a decent uptempo number - hopefully it's better than "Outta My Head", which I never properly got.
Sounds really great, excitement levels upped even more now! I definitely think she'll deliver with this, sounds a lot more diverse than her previous work and yet still cohesive, not too disjointed and all over the place like it could well have been.

The 5 am more excited to hear after listening to the snippets are

1. Shake You Up

2. Unlove Me

3. I to You

4. Favourite Scar

5. When It Hurts/FingerPrint

Sounding fantastic!! Hopefully we get the 90 second iTunes previews too soon!

All the snippets are on Youtube all together if you want to listen saves going on amazon heres the link :)
