Same. Would be amazing to see them.

Like your signature as well :)

im happy enough that blink are reunited and playing, the libertines is the icing on the cake now. and just think not too long ago i lost my faith in Reading.

and the shot was too epic to not sig.

That's a pretty special set of headliners they've got.

I imagine Libertines will have a bigger crowd than Arcade Fire, but I don't think that matters. For one, Arcade Fire will be a LOT more reliable to actually show up, and I think it's probably better the Libertines are not headlining. Will create too much pressure imo. If they're being presented as special guests on the poster than wow. Such a huge coup for Reading and Leeds. The link-up is looking just as good as the other festivals at the moment, which is something I worried it wouldn't be.

^^Theres nothing special about GnR though :kink:

tbh quite unreliable headliners, Libertines, GnR (axel is always late/cba with showing up coz he is a c**t, as bad as pete reliabilty wise) and then last time Mark Hoppus was meant to be at the festival he dropped out about a week before.

Punktastic say:

"Efestivals are '99% confident' that Guns and Roses, Arcade Fire and Blink 182 will headline Reading/Leeds Festivals. The Libertines are apparently 'special guests'.

EDIT - Punktastic has been told Arcade Fire are headlining the NME Tent."

they are normally spot on every year, the guy who runs it has some sort of good source (which is why I believe the second bit where he says 'has been told'), in 2008 he posted all the bands in the first annoucement on the day of the annoucement but at like 10am rather than the offical annoucement at 7pm, all was correct.

Don't think I will be going to this now. :( I can't get down to Oxford on Monday to get tickets..

so the AF on NME thing came from the guy from Kids In Glass Houses, I buy that tbh, I also now think KIGH are playing lol.

tbh I think AF are possibly too big for NME and assuming that GnR will be on mainstage on Sunday, AF will be packed, GnR have a lot of haters these days I cant imagine them actually having that much interest, especially with a crowd who are there for The Libertines and blink-182 (i.e young) porbaly wont give a $h!t for GnR, so yeah bad move if AF are on NME, especially in that spot.

yeah i have vaguely heard that, i think it's just from speculation of who will headline main stage if arcade fire are on nme. would be amazing Libertines+Blink+Blur in one weekend. my brain would explode. i reckon if AF are on NME then Libs are headlining main.

i'm pretty sure blur have said they arent doing anything again (again).

Tomorrow. Good luck with anyone trying to get tickets and here's hoping the line up will be a good one :)

Adam Ficek, babyshambles drummer has just furthered the confirmation about the libertines playing reading/leeds on his twitter page.

Been a nice day today, enjoy tomorrow and the big announcement. about 1 hours ago via Echofon

Punktastic claim Blink are 'confirmed', but we basically knew this, and also The Libertines but we basically knew that too, but there has been coverage on Guardian.co.uk and The Sun saying they are (both claiming to have a source).

You Me at Six and Motion City Soundtrack have both self confirmed.

Punktastic are also convinced about: Guns n Roses, Arcade Fire, The Cribs, Lostprophets, Paramore.

keep an eye on http://punktastic.com/ for updates, in 2008 he got the whole annoucement in full and posted it.

Was thinking about missing out this year due to money concerns but as soon as Libertines went TBC I would give my arm to go! I would pay £180 just to see them

Libertines, Arcade Fire, Klaxons, Guns N Roses, Kele from Bloc Party.
