1. Garbage will release a new song in October 2011. This song is a cover, not the first single. The new album will be released next year and will not include this song.

 

2. They continue to work on 24 songs, 12 of which will consitute the new album. The other 12 songs will be released as B-sides, extra tracks and maybe one will be released as a Christmas present.

 

3. "Talks are already underway with regards to a full Garbage Tour."

That new song is a cover of Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses by U2. The cover compilation AHK-toong BAY-bi will include covers of each song of the classic album Achtung Baby and it will be released with the new Q Magazine.

Push It, Why Do You Love Me?, The World Is Not Enough, Metal Heart <<< my four favourites. Bleed Like Me is an underrated album. I don't have the first two records though and should probably remedy that.

The first two records are actually their best according to most fans.

Yeah I hear that all the time. I sometimes struggle getting into older albums (mid 90s and earlier) if I've only ever known later ones though. No idea why.

This time it may be different.

 

The first Garbage song that I liked was Run Baby Run from Bleed Like Me. Then I discovered their first two albums (a bit later they became my favorite Garbage albums). Their third album Beautiful Garbage is quite dissapointing (overproduced; too many ballads and pop songs). The new album sounds promising from the snippets posted of Facebook.
