Firstly where the fuck is Ireland? Despite that this was actually REALLY exciting. Nailbiting towards the end. Greece and Israel kept swapping 1st and 2nd place over the first 30 or so votes, but then at Cyprus (for some reason) Azerbaijain took over. Germany went into the lead briefly around Switzerland, and then it swapped between all four for the remainder of the votes. At the second to last vote there was one point in between Azerbaijan and Israel :o

based on odds and defining my own faves.

I allowed neighbor voting, and set it to English & French (Mixed). I also defined my own chances, giving the following countries maximum chances: Azerbaijan, Germany, Ireland, Moldova, Sweden, Slovakia & Romania.

 

Norway & Spain both got nil points. Azerbaijan won. UK gave 12pts to Slovakia and nothing to Azerbaijan (which was odd since UK gave 10pts to Azerbaijan in the semi). Netherlands gave 12pts to UK, with Armenia & Georgia giving us 10pts.

The semi final scores are fairly on the ball in terms of qualifiers, apart from Estonia/Bosnia and Switzerland/Ireland. The points are quite far off :lol:

How does that work out? I'd expect that Ireland need to be 10th or higher in the semi final to ensure qualification, since it's the top 10 that qualify

 

 

but doesnt the wild card come into play and the country voted 10th could be pushed out due to the wild card, hasnt that happened twice to macedonia?

There's no wildcard this year, it's a 50/50 jury/public vote throughout the semis and the final, which should make things interesting!

Thats good as i think the wild card was very unfair on any country that came 10th in the semi;s.
