03 I noticed 'Telephone' is currently no. 1 in your chart. Holding at no. 3 for three weeks is actually impressive when it comes to my chart. Obviously three weeks at no. 1 is better but I don't think this is quite as good as 'Bad Romance', 'Poker Face', 'Just Dance' and 'Paparazzi' which were all no. 1 hits for me in 2009.

Well I think Telephone is one of the best songs in these weeks :) Well ''Paparazzi'' peaked number 9 by me. ''Telephone'' is on the top for the 4th time ^_^

09 Whilst the UK are enjoying 'Hot', a track that was in my chart only two months ago, I've already moved onto follow up 'Amazing'. Personally, I much prefer this track and no doubt this will be the bigger single. I've not even started to think about my next chart but I'm sure this will continue climbing.

Well, I prefer ''Hot'' by a mile! ''Amazing'' does not have enough beats  In Czech Republic, ''Hot'' and ''10 Minutes'' ( ) are overplayed on discos :) But I love it! Well UK and their taste in dance music especially from east... :coffee:

10 One of the most successful singles in Europe at the moment. If any song is guaranteed to climb next week it's this. I nearly kept this in my Pre-Release chart for another week but decided to promote the song to my main chart now. 'Alors On Danse' is one to watch. ;)

''Alors On Danse'' is very good, although I dislike French ^_^

18 Second top 20 hit for HIM. One of Finland's best exports over the last 10 years. 'Scared To Death' doesn't quite manage to better the peak of previous single 'Heartbreaker' (no. 13) but this is still great.

HIM have never disappointed me, love their work. They deliver more success -_-

23 Blame the record company!!! I've not heard 'Night Of The Hunter' so I'm interested in hearing this. Maybe it will be the third single?

I hope so, but I do not know I wish to be :) You should find it on youtube. -_-

39 Who'd have thought Alex Gardner would peak higher in my chart than he did in the UK? I said all along that this song just isn't good enough to be anywhere the top spot. It's alright - certainly good enough to just scrape into my top 40 but this is one those low entries that's bound to drop out of my chart next week. The type of song that's good for about 3 days before it loses its appeal.

Well, I do not watch/listen to UK chart, I am not interested in so much, I do not know Alex's peak position  I found Alex here, that someone charted him and published video below chart, not bad song, but like you said ''this song is not good enough to be anywhere the top spot''

Hey, my faves:

03 (03) Lady GaGa feat. Beyonce - Telephone (03-03-03) [3 wks]

04 (01) Rihanna - Rude Boy (03-02-01-01-04) [5 wks]

06 (02) Gabriella Cilmi - On A Mission (01-02-02-06) [4 wks]

08 (10) Caro Emerald - A Night Like This (14-14-10-08) [4 wks]

11 (07) Leona Lewis - I See You (05-04-04-07-07-11) [6 wks]

15 (08) Timbaland feat. Katy Perry - If We Ever Meet Again (01-01-02-02-05-09-08-15) [8 wks]

18 (--) HIM - Scared To Death (18) [1 wk] They've returned to form with their recent album :D

25 (19) Paloma Faith - Upside Down (16-19-25) [3 wks]

26 (27) Agnes - On And On (24-30-27-26) [4 wks] Much prefer the original version of it. Why do UK dance labels insist on remixing tracks for the UK market and ruining them in the process?!

29 (23) Owl City - Fireflies (01-01-01-01-01-03-04-07-07-07-10-15-17-21-23-29) [16 wks]

30 (31) Lady GaGa - Bad Romance (01-01-01-01-01-01-01-02-02-02-04-07-09-12-17-17-21-24-29-27-31-31-30) [23 wks]

31 (21) Marina & The Diamonds - Hollywood (02-02-04-06-08-09-15-21-31) [9 wks]

40 (28) Milk Inc. - Storm (28-40) [2 wks] Like this, must rememebr to download it!

Cheers Martin :D

18 (--) HIM - Scared To Death (18) [1 wk] They've returned to form with their recent album :D

They've definitely released two great singles so far this year. 'Heartbreaker' peaked at no. 13 for me earlier this year. Overall, I still regard 'Join Me' as HIM's best single. I'm pretty sure if I was compiling my own chart back in 2000, 'Join Me' would've been a massive hit. It's success across Europe was very much deserved.

26 (27) Agnes - On And On (24-30-27-26) [4 wks] Much prefer the original version of it. Why do UK dance labels insist on remixing tracks for the UK market and ruining them in the process?!

I must be one of the few who likes both versions of 'On And On'. In fact, the track has managed to hang on inside my chart purely through finding out that the track's release date has been put back. I doubt it'll be a massive hit like 'Release Me' was but for the time being Agnes is floating around quite nicely in my chart.

40 (28) Milk Inc. - Storm (28-40) [2 wks] Like this, must rememebr to download it!

I think 'Storm' is alright but wouldn't say it's brilliant (hence the track peaking at #28 for me). I was surprised when the track stormed (no pun intended :P ) into the Flanders singles chart straight in at no. 1 - wasn't expecting that at all.

Cheers Martin :D

HIM have always done alright in my chart, apart from in 2007. The kind of peaked in 2003-2006.

Belgians like a dance tune  . I wasn't surprised to see it do so well, though I thought it's timing was quite bad as the region was suffering the a really bad storm at the time!

'Bad Romance' is by far Lady GaGa's most successful single ever in my personal chart - seven weeks at no. 1 is currently the top track in my chart of all time...and yes, it really is deserved. As for 'Telephone' I don't see it making my top 10 of all time but for 2010 it's definitely one of the best pop tracks released.

Well, I prefer ''Hot'' by a mile! ''Amazing'' does not have enough beats  In Czech Republic, ''Hot'' and ''10 Minutes'' ( ) are overplayed on discos :) But I love it! Well UK and their taste in dance music especially from east... :coffee:

It seems most posters prefer 'Hot' to 'Amazing' but the latter just appeals to me more and I don't get bored of the song if I play it more than three times in a week.

''Alors On Danse'' is very good, although I dislike French ^_^

French, the language of love. :D The lyrics to 'Alors On Danse' are actually very clever - I translated the lyrics into English out of curiosity and it's comparing one bad thing in the world with another similar good thing in the world. Very well written even if it is in French. 'Alors On Danse' translates into English as "Then One Dances".

HIM have never disappointed me, love their work. They deliver more success -_-

Since I started my personal chart in 2004, HIM's most successful single in my chart has been 'Wings Of A Butterfly'.

I hope so, but I do not know I wish to be :) You should find it on youtube. -_-

Well, I said I'd YouTube and I forgot. :drama: I will check this out later tonight or sometime this weekend.

Oh right!!! I thought you'd discovered Alex Gardner's track through the Pop forum. The track got to no. 44 in the UK.

I just checked my All Times Hitstastic Chart database which compiles all the chart data from 2004 right up until December 2009 and HIM made my top 20 with 'Wings Of A Butterfly (no. 11) and 'The Funeral Of Hearts' (no. 19). However, my computer died on me in November 2006 so I lost a fair amount of chart data from 2006. When I redid my YTD 2006 chart to save time, I only used the top 10 hits so any song that peaked at no. 11 or lower wasn't counted. So HIM may have had a couple more top 20 hits in 2006 that are sadly not recorded. :(

Still, two top 20 hits in 2010 is nothing to snub at. Great achievement when I consider some artists can follow a no. 1 single with a complete flop.

Nice to see 2 great euro tracks crack the top10 here ;)

Cheers Dre :D

European music is taking my chart by storm this year thanks to lack of anything, imo, genuinely decent coming from the UK charts. It amazes me how only last year the UK charts were full of brilliant tracks in the top 5 most weeks yet 2010 has been seriously disappointing in contrast.

As well as Stromae and Inna, there's also Holland's current success story in Caro Emerald. Have you heard 'A Night Like This'? I can imagine you liking the track. It seems a lot of posters here like the track which is pleasing to see. ^_^

Oh Hits, you put the wrong song at #1 this week again. Honestly, what am I going to do with you. :(

The clue was in the title of the track as well.

I have heard it. Didn't like it at first but I do now. Different from anything else, and definitely not my kind of music at all, but it's catchy and I can see why it's doing so well in Holland.

I suppose 'Alors On Danse' did deserve to be no. 1 last week. :P

I really like both 'She Said' and 'O.N.E.' but for me Plan B just had the egde. I've not seen your chart for a couple of weeks. Do you still post it in the pinned thread? I must check out your latest chart and see what tracks you're loving at the moment.

I think 'A Night Like This' is quite classy for what it is. It's performed brilliantly in Holland's singles chart. Still top 5 there about two months is very good as their chart is usually like how the UK charts used to be in 2000.
