It's soo obvious they've written Danny out a lot faster than they'd expected to.

Why do you keep calling it 'the london soap'? Just call it EE. And of all the things in it which push the boundaries of credibility I hardly think having an Indian at lunch is one of them.

its a polite put down....

you think its credible that a guy for a bet got stacey for a lunch/meal/banquet (just WHAT did stacey order? that was a joke wasnt it? 6 curries?... yeah right, ridiculous on one hand, on the other an unfunny joke). then forked out for all 4 of them ... the whole scene was nonsense, uncredible, rubbish.

It's not any kind of put down, because the fact is that it is a London soap. You just sound petty repeatedly using that.

And I'm pretty sure Stacey was being sarcastic with her order. Maybe you missed that...

calling it the london soap shows my contempt for it without resorting to the usual adjectives.

nope...thats why i said 'ridiculous one hand, on the other an unfunny joke'... it fell flat.

now that is what i thought of last nights show. i dont have to defend/bicker about it any further, you might not agree...but hey ho, so what.

The funny thing is I mostly do agree with you about last night's episode Rob, I've said it was terrible. But I said that because I'm objective and not because I've decided I'm already going to hate it like you. If you have such contempt for EastEnders that you refuse to even call it by its NAME, I don't understand why you keep watching and commenting. It strikes me as really sad that you're wasting your time watching something you obviously don't care for at all.

... but ive told you millions of times... i WANT to like it, i did for many years, i even watched the omnibus on sundays too! because i WAS good. atm i dip in and out, i watched last night because there was no emmerdale, im interested in seeing lucas get whats coming to him, but tbh all the other storylines are just

the problem is with soaps is that storylines change daily, one day they might be great, the next it can be dire.. my frustration with the london soap is that it is mostly dire when it should be great, like it used to be.

maybe you are right, maybe i should stop living in the past and give up on the london soap all together. but im a telly adict, i like my no brainers to chill out too of an evening .

I didnt enjoy the danny reveal at all, it had a very stop and go feel to it and they just keep throwing little bits in that had no impact at all, furhermore danny came accross as no way believable and very wooden, they really could have done a much better reveal like him getin away with the money and roxie and ronnie chasing him and then find in bed with glenda and they would no then there own mother conned them, dats how i would have written the story anyhow or dats how i would have liked it to have ended.

Lol @ the London soap.

Is this pretty much the end for Danny now? (yay)

It looks like it, which I'm very glad about! :cheer:

Subtle but effective juxtaposition of sound there with My Way playing underneath Peggy's speech!

Massive/very very exciting spoiler from DS:

The Vic is gonna burn down, and it ties in with Peggy's exit!!! Plus LOADS of people are leaving, so they could die...

Cant say im suprised. When Bryan Kirkwood arrived at Hollyoaks he burned the pub down - killing some of the shows deadwood off. Makes sense that this is what happens here really. Looking forward to it though, should be quite brilliant :D
