So what does everyone make of this? A new compilation was always going to happen after their split up - is a singles collection a good idea after the 'Best Of' only in 2006? I reckon it is a good idea due to the fact that 'Stop The Clocks' missed out a huge amount of singles - it was not a Greatest Hits as such but more of a Best Of, hence the inclusion of several B-sides. This obviously gives a much more broad look back on their career - afterall STC totally ignored Be Here Now. The downside is that many of Oasis best ever songs were not singles such as Champaigne Supernova, Morning Glory, The Masterplan, Talk Tonight, Rock N Roll Star, Slide Away, Aquience and loads more. But in the eary days pretty much every song they released was brilliant and was single worthy.

Great to see the mighty 'Whatever' FINALLY being released on an album. Why is the underrated 'Sunday Morning Call' the onyl single left off though? And Lord Don't Slow Me Down is on instead? Seems an odd choice. I am looking forward to the DVD with the videos, although WHY did they not record any of the big gigs from the tour such as Slane Castle or Wembley? We already have Roundhouse

Just looking on several Oasis fansites, there is outrage that 'Sunday Morning Call' has been left off. Many people saying that it makes no sence to include 'She Is Love' - a track that didnt even have a video, therefor was not a 'proper' single like SMC. The whole thing makes little sence - why have a complete collection and not include a top 5 single?

If you ask me while this is good for the casual 'singles' fans, it is by no means representive of their best material. The extra Live 3rd CD includes quite a few of the classics left off that were not singles but they are live and Liam's voice sounds very different now than it did when they were recorded.

I think they should've just put studio recording of all the classics left off on the 3rd disc and just put thaty gig on the DVD instead. Just look at the songs not here:

Rock 'N Roll Star

Slide Away

Cast No Shadow

She's Electric

Morning Glory

Champagne Supernova

Don't Go Away

Acquience

Talk Tonight

Rockin Chair

D'wanna Be A Spaceman

The Masterplan

Carry Us All

Listen Up

Let's All Make Believe

Sunday Morning Call

Gas Panic

Where Did It All Go Wrong

They really have a ridiculous amount of great tunes

Yeah its a proper GH but unlike most bands, most of Oasis best songs and the song they always play live were not singles so it doesnt represent Oasis's greatness IMO. What it shows however is how bad Noel was at picking the singles

I am not sure if it will sell that much tbh - it has a good shot at going to #1 due to the fans wanting the special edition and 'Whatever' on an album finally but most of the casual fans will surely have 'Stop The Clocks'? Although saying that, Morning Glory sold near 20 million copies globally, Stop The Clocks only sold 3 or 4 million or there are ALOT of fans who might want tog et this. :D

This album will be something to keep the fans happy and remember all the great singles all in one album and of course the first album to include the brilliant whatever. It wont match the 20 million sales of morning glory but it could outsell stop the clocks.

What do you make of 'Sunday Morning Call' being left off? Surely if they are advertising it as a 'complete' collection it should be there? It was a top 5 hit afterall and one only 3 singles from SOTSOG.

Not sure I like the title of 'Time Flies' - they shouldve gone with 'Time Keeps Rolling By', a line from 'All Around The World' I love the cover though - classic Oasis :D

They should have included it all singles should be there, its the record companies way of making money in the future so they can release the complete singles collection.

So we get Whatever but Sunday Morning Call gets left off. Absolutely stupid but I'll still probably buy it. Am not a massive fan but have some of their albums and also STC.

ITs a shame they didnt put every single on it but im sure its a trick by the rrecord company for a future release that will have all singles on it.

Yes. You can bet the next will have evert track on this plus Sunday Morning Call.

Everyone, "Sunday Morning Call" IS on the compilation. It's a missing track at the end of "Falling Down". ^_^

Wow, thanks. I wondered why Falling Down, at over 11 minutes, was even longer than the album version!!! Wonder why SMC isn't listed then!

Number 1 in todays midweeks and sales just over 23,000. I think this will also make number 1 in Ireland this week aswell.
