Agreed - the word ethereal can be a bit sick-inducing - but it's definitely a deserved description for Under The Ivy - how amazing that a song this brilliant only made a b-side. There's a box set called 'This Woman's Work' available.... all the studio albums up to Sensual World and a CD of all the extra tracks and b-sides - lots of which are easily good enough to be singles. Also includes a gorgeous book of photos. Boxset's usually about £50 on eBay - definitely worth that much. There's another song called 'Ne T'enfuit Pas' (think that's how to spell it).... another lost classic worth tracking down, which is on the 'extra tracks' CD in the box set - it's from The Dreaming era - stunning it is.

After our KB chats, my playlist has been...

Kate Bush - Under The Ivy

Kate Bush - The Song of Solomon

Kate Bush - Delius

had these 3 pretty much on repeat.... Delius sounds great in the car, with the footsteps travelling from speaker to speaker....

   it's beautiful.... and this track, and This Woman's Work, both make me fill up a bit, gotta be honest. I like how it's really short..... a true case of quality over quantity ;)

Yes this song is probably her best ever B Side.........

Enuff Z'Nuff's debut album. Yes you may laugh but this is actually a decent almost power-pop album if you get past the 80s glam trappings.
I'm listening to Lies by Charles Manson. I've always been intrigued by his music and material, but only got round to downloading it today. The lyrics and production are okay, but I really like his folk-vocals.
Currently listening to the Simon Bates Golden Hour on Capital Gold. 1974 and playing is Sugar Baby Love by the Rubettes.

That Siobhan Donaghy album is incredible - easily better thanm anything her ex band did with her... or the drivel they've released since....

Today I've been playing.....

Matia Bazar - Ti Sento - classic old HI-nrg..... GREAT record from the late 80s

Yazoo - Goodbye 70s (Black Light Odyssey remix) - stunning.... how to completely rejuvinate an old classic

Soft Cell - Heat (Yer Man remix) - as above - well worth checking out

I have Send Me An Angel, by Real Life, going off in me head.....probably because I heard it on the radio driving home from work.....

I'm trying to remember if Siobhan was in Shakespear's Sister.....

Absolutely LOVED Send Me An Angel... strangely, it was never a hit in the UK..... Siobhan was in Sugababes...... Siobhan Fahey was in Bannarama and then Shaespears Sister.

I've just been recommended Emi Fujita's album. It's totally awesome. It makes me feel so peaceful and relaxing.

I've been playing I Monster... their compilation album, 'The Sound of Chill 6'.... SUBLIME!   A stunning double album full of noir oddities and gorgeous little numbers.... from Siouxsie's 'Lunar Camel' to Yazoo's beautiful 'Winter Kills'.... Suicide, The Specials, Tim Buckley, Magazine, Velvet Underground.... one of the finest compilations I've ever heard - astounding.

Thanks for the correction...I were a bit confused at to which Siobhan it was who was being discussed.....especially since I don't keep up at all with any of this newer music.....

I have 'Stand Or Fall' by The Fixx going off in me head today.....one of my fave songs by them, along with 'Red Skies' and 'Secret Separation'......

EDIT: I gotta quit looking round at youtube.....now I have 'Fairytale of New York' by The Pogues and Kristy MacColl going on in my head.....
