Um... when did Robbie turn into a middle-aged American tourist?

http://i41.tinypic.com/rcklg5.jpg

If this unshaven, dressed-down everybloke tramped past us at an airport, we wouldn't bat an eyelid - which would be a shame for us, but probably exactly what Robbie Williams is trying to achieve by going out like this.

Of course, the Unicef t-shirt (and the fact that he's jetting off to do some sort of worthy goodness in Haiti) could also be Robbie's way of showing how, like, totally unshallow he is. Why would he care what he looks like when there are people way less fortunate than him in the world? And we don't just mean Kavana, Lee from 911 and Richie from Let Loose...

Turns out he was pictured on his way back from a 4 day trip for Unicef. Despite lookign rough, I think he looks quite young in this pic - looks like he may have shaved his head again  Nice of him to go over though, anything to raise awareness of it and keep it in the headlines is good. I hardly hear anything about Haiti on the new anymore.

Robbie Williams Returns From Unicef Haiti Trip With Ayda

Robbie WIlliams was spotted at Miami Airport yesterday with his girlfriend Ayda Field, as the pair returned from a four day trip to Haiti. As a UK Unicef Ambassador, Robbie travels on behalf of the charity to raise awareness and help out with the work that they're doing. At the time of the Haiti disaster, George Clooney gathered some big names together to raise money to help people get their lives back, and restore some of the basic public services, and it's great to see that celebs are still raising awareness now that the first flush of generosity has made headlines. Robbie was also recently named ambassador of children's charity Caudwell Children which helps disabled and special needs kids.

ROBBIE IN HAITI

I was so glad he accepted to take a picture, we love him my daughters and I. He is just great...............and generous. thanks robbie, goodluck, may GOD help you in your dedication to help children.

Edited by De Niro

he looks amazing :w00t:

I love the look too!! :w00t:

And since when has Robbie ever been shallow?? He's done more for charity in one week than those bitches at 3am have done the whole year!!

And the fact he went over there with no fan-fare, no photogs, and no media just proves how UN-shallow he is!!

His trip was part of the Soccer Aid appeal. Apparently there are loads of celebs over there at the moment including Michelle Obama to keep it in the headlines 3 months after the earthquake.

Returning from a visit to Haiti with UNICEF, where he made an appeal film which will be shown in full during the Soccer Aid match on Sunday 6 June, Robbie, a UNICEF UK Ambassador, said:

“Everyone knows I’m a massive football fan, and now I’m asking everyone to join Keep it Up for Soccer Aid. It’s really simple: do as many sponsored keepy uppys as you can and raise bucket loads of money to help make a real difference to the lives of kids all over the world, including the fantastic young people that I met in Haiti.”

For the pros (think Pele, Maradona, Beckham!)

3. Try to do as many keepy-uppys as you can blindfolded.

4. Practice for the World Cup and shoot sponsored penalties too.

5. Challenge yourself to an hour of keepy-uppys.

For the beginners (think Brooklyn Beckham, Kai Rooney!)

Challenge your friends or colleagues to Keep it Up for Soccer Aid and set yourself a fundraising target.

1. Organise the biggest keepy-uppy event your town has ever seen.

2. Do keepy-uppys in fancy dress.

3. Dribble a football from home to school or work.

4. Have a keepy-uppy competition at work with colleagues and charge an entry fee to help you reach your target.

5. Try keepy-uppys with a balloon.

6. Set a realistic target like five or ten keepy uppys in a row and get practising.

Keep it Up for everyone

If you aren’t a keepy-uppy pro or have two left feet there are lots of ways that you can get involved, get fit and raise funds. Why not set yourself a challenge by making a healthy living pledge and Keep it Up for Soccer Aid.

1. Give up chocolate / TV / alcohol for 6 weeks and keep it up!

2. Keep up walking, running or cycling to school or work for a whole month.

Remember to register your challenge online at <a href="http://www.socceraid.org.uk/page.asp?page=27" target="_blank">www.socceraid.org.uk/keepitup.

Take heart ... Robbie Williams meets quake victims Denise and her brother

EMOTIONAL Robbie Williams shakes the hands of some of the thousands of children left homeless after the Haiti earthquake.

The singer was visibly moved as he toured a tented city full of quake refugees.

Unshaven Robbie, wearing a baseball cap with the message God Bless, looked shocked as he walked through the squalor left by the disaster.

Moved ... Robbie visits quake refugees in tented city

Robbie travelled to the devastated country in his position as an ambassador for UNICEF, the United Nations International Children's Fund. His arrival earlier this week coincided with the 90-day anniversary of the disaster.

And his first port of call was the vast tent city known as Pinchinat, set up on football pitches in the southern Haitian city of Jacmel and now home to 3,000.

Big-hearted Robbie, 36, was taken to meet some of the hundreds of children who are now forced to make this place their home.

He shook hands with Denise Emurielle, nine, and her brother, who lost their home and are now living in temporary shelters.

oth youngsters are now going back to school thanks to a UNICEF programme.

And the former Take That superstar yesterday told how he was "humbled" by the children's plight.

Robbie said: "I met children who were injured, who had been separated from their parents and were living in temporary shelters or in the streets.

"This earthquake hit children the hardest. The children are so vulnerable. They're living day-to-day without the basic things they need and at risk of violence and abuse.

"I don't know about you, but I think this is wrong and we need to put it right."

Denise's school building was destroyed during the quake.

But she is now back in the lessons that she loves thanks to the work of UNICEF and their partners, who have set up temporary buildings.

Stoke star Robbie has been a UNICEF ambassador for nine years.

He is taking part in a Soccer Aid event at Manchester United's Old Trafford ground on June 6, where a team of footballing legends and celebrities from England will face a team of legends and celebrities from the Rest of the World.

Robbie was the mastermind behind the children's charity's Soccer Aid programme, raising cash through football games and events.

He is also now looking to raise millions through a nationwide sponsored football keepy-uppy challenge.

Robbie said yesterday: "Everyone knows I'm a massive football fan and now I'm asking everyone to join me and Keep It Up For Soccer Aid.

"It's really simple: do as many sponsored keepy-uppys as you can to make a real difference to the lives of children.

"In Haiti, UNICEF took immediate action and have already made an enormous difference to the lives of the children affected by the earthquake. They have set up feeding centres, provided clean water and helped children to get back to school.

http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af167/therobbiewilliamssiteukau/Picture8-2.png

Ambassador ... Robbie

"But much more needs to be done in Haiti - and in many other countries where children need our help.

"That's why this year's Soccer Aid is more important than ever."

A host of footballing icons and fellow UNICEF goodwill ambassadors joined Robbie in encouraging Brits to take part in the Soccer Aid campaign.

Barcelona hero Lionel Messi, Portsmouth's Nwankwo Kanu - the most decorated African player in history - and Icelandic national legend Eidur Gudjohnsen, now at Tottenham, all threw their support behind the campaign.

Messi said: "Football has given me so much joy and so many opportunities and I would like to see a world where all children have a chance to learn, play and have fun. Your support will help UNICEF's work for children's rights worldwide. Keep it up for Soccer Aid!"

The 7.0 magnitude Haiti earthquake on January 12 destroyed the Caribbean country, killing nearly 250,000 people and leaving more than a million homeless. A further million children were also believed to be orphaned by the disaster.

A spokesman for UNICEF said: "Ambassador Robbie Williams visited Haiti to meet children who had been affected by the devastating earthquake - and to see the work that UNICEF is doing to help those children and their families.

"During the visit he made a short film which will be shown during Soccer Aid 2010 on June 6 on ITV1.

"On his return from Haiti, Robbie is launching a special Soccer Aid challenge to raise money for children all over the world, called Keep It Up For Soccer Aid."

For more about Robbie's challenge go to socceraid.org.uk.
