I think Manipulated deserves to be a bit more noticed, so at the moment that's definitely what I'm hoping to enter!

sounds amazing to me.

Hanna Lindblad - Manipulated

Caerfyrddia's second entry into the contest is by Swedish singer, Hanna Lindblad. Manipulated was entered into Melodifestivalen 2010, but criminally failed to qualify from the heats.

Enjoy

Four songs in the running

Today, 4 songs were officially presented as potential entries for Caerfyrddia into BJSC 28.

Song #1:

B-Tween - Dangerzone

Song #2:

Hera Björk - My Heart

Song #3:

Knob feat. Ortal - Pop Like That

Song #4:

The Storm - Wall Of Shame

Any opinions are very welcome :D

B-Tween - Dangerzone - Boring, and I HATE those annoying „background beats“ during almost the whole song that distract from the voices.

Hera Björk - My Heart - Just as her ESC song: Boring and generic.

Knob feat. Ortal - Pop Like That - Ewww. Sorry but this fits right in with the other 2 songs: boring and generic. :/

The Storm - Wall Of Shame - I guess it comes as no surprise that I like this song the most. :kink: High points guaranteed if you send this. Although it would most likely do the worst out of your 4 songs in the contest, sadly.

Oh good picks!

Not one I had a negative reaction too.

The Storm has a bit of edge to it that different to dance/pop that dominates competition.

I do like B-Tween on quick listen, then Knob & Hera. :)

Thanks for commenting, both :D

Despite absolutely loving Hera's album, I am leaning towards The Storm, so I'm glad you guys have picked it as your favourites of the 4 :D

Wow, I really like 'Wall Of Shame', it's not something I'd usually like either! :o 'My Heart' is my favourite on Hera's album but songs I know before the contest are always at a disadvantage in my voting.

That's good to hear :o That gives me a bit more confidence in The Storm now :D . Yeah, My Heart is definitely the best non-ESC song she's done, but it's nearly a year old for me now so I'm not sure on entering it. The other album tracks, although good, don't stand out as much as Je Ne Sais Quoi and Someday.

Thanks for feedback :D

Hera is the best! Is That Ortal who represented France in 05? (Kiev)

I have to agree with Zechhh with the first 2 tracks they are a bit dull to be honest.

Knob: is alright to start off with, there is no buzz to it though, it lacks punch

Storm: ooh now this I like I love the intro, pick this, some points guaranteed from me.

Time to resurrect this thread I think. First post has been updated to include a history of Caerfyrddia's performance in the contest, along with a record of who got the highest points in each contest.

Yet again, I forgot to keep this going but after Caerfyrddia finished in a very pleasing 15th place with Cecilie Fleur, two acts are now bidding to represent the country in the next edition.

As yet, the acts have not been disclosed by national broadcaster, CFT, but they are rumoured to be a Romanian dance act and a British electro duo.

:cheer: Glad you're liking it! :D

I rather like your entry this time Ghosty. It appeals to me musically more than vocally but the brooding nature of it wins through.

Glad you're finding it ok! It took me a couple of listens to get used to her voice, but I love the whole song now. Hopefully it won't be another Ane Brun situation where everyone is turned off by the vocals :(

XXXVIII:

Rebekka Karijord - Wear It Like A Crown

With no substantially brilliant new releases to hand, I decided to delve into my "rejected" entries and select something that I almost sent at the beginning of this year. Rebekka hails from Norway and Wear It Like A Crown was the lead single from her brilliant debut album, The Noble Art Of Letting Go.

Hope you like it!
