After three plays:

It's good (musically it reminds me a lot of Erasure), but certainly is not brilliant. It does not come close to blowing me away in the way that Confide In Me or Can't Get You Out Of My Head did.

I'd probably put on the second tier of Kylie songs with I Believe In You and Spinning Around.

Whilst the forthcoming album track Better Than Today is a lot catchier IMHO, and I think would have been a bigger hit if it was the lead single.

Wow, first time I heard that. Not surprised to hear Nerina Pallot wrote it, I can definitely hear her 'sound' there, sounds very similar to her recent single I Don't Want To Go Out actually melody wise :o I'm not sure that it's more catchy though, I've had All The Lovers stuck in my head since the first time I heard the low quality clip a few days ago, I think it's got a strong chorus.

Nerina Pallot must be absolutely quids in at the moment with her writing credits on the albums for Diana Vickers and Kylie, to comepnsate for her own solo career not really going anywhere. Good on her I say, she's a great talent and it's good to see her reaping her rewards in some form. Her recent album was a big disappointment for me though, I loved the first two. :(
On second listen the instrumental sounds a bit like "Better the devil you know"...... sorry if that's already been noticed

Better Than Today, at this stage at least, sounds much more like a Nerina song than a Kylie one. It'll be interesting to see what slant she puts on it but as of now I certainly don't think it would be a better option than All The Lovers. But then again I wouldn't put I Believe In You in the 'second tier' of Kylie songs either - a true 10/10 moment.

Agreed on all points. I loved a few of the songs on The Graduate - Everything's Illuminated, When Did I Become Such A Bitch and Cigarette and the two singles were ok, although I wouldn't have released I Don't Want To Go Out, not that she was ever going to have a hit with anything anyway though. However compared to the opus, Fires, it was lacking somewhat. Put It Back Together on Diana's album is a highlight for me though and Better Than Today sounds decent too. I noticed a Luciana written track is on Aphrodite too :o :cheer:

On thirtieth listen, All The Lovers remains immense. When did 2010 start getting so GOOD?

At some point last week I think  I noticed this when I realised that I had 90 songs to fit into my top 50 chart this week. Needless to say a major cull took place :drama: You know it's getting good when we're two weeks from Eurovision and all of the ESC songs are FALLING on my chart!

I'm getting the sense that Nerina is the new Cathy Dennis.

That would be nice, although the old one's still churning out the #1 hits, as recently as two weeks ago in fact!

5 listens in and it's proper grown on me now. Love it!
It's completely true that 2010 started getting a lot better musically in the last couple of weeks.

absolutly bloody fantastic tune, i adore it and couldnt have asked for a better single from her, this just pi*sses over anything that came from X, im am even more excited than ever for the new album.

Im so so pleased with this whata lead single to kick the album off with, after the huge huge dispointment i felt when i first heard 2 hearts its so good to see her return witha killer lead single.

I still think 2 Hearts is her best lead single. I loved it instantly. I think I need a few more listens to this song before "Am in love, Wooooo".
This is OK. A bit too fluffy and 'lite' for my liking, I wanted a stomper! But it's an improvement on '2 Hearts' at least (which I did like for about 2 weeks.)
2 hearts is my 2nd least favelead single, i was totally gutted when i heard it, thankfully its the complete opposite with all the lovers.
I loved 2 Hearts! It was different and I liked that. $h!t lead single though. If it hadn't been lead single I think fan opinion of the song would be a lot higher.
Yes i agree with that, its not a bad song and had it not been lead single or had not being a single at all i would have called it a brilliant album track.
