Honestly loving this - it’s been on repeat, think I love it so much as it’s a call back to indie Kylie days.

Haha, I WISH! I thought Shania was ok but her sound equipment was REALLY bad, sounded muffled and a bit tinny! Apparently it has been like that every night according the BSL interpreter, but when Harry comes on the sound system is crystal clear. It's very strange as you would have thought they would be using the same sound systems?

I'm mostly hearing shania wasn't great vocally is that true? Imagine bopping away to Harry or shania and for it to be kylie beside you in the pit doing the same thing.

'Dancing' is a really special song to me. I had a 15-year period where I couldn't listen to CGYOMH because of the level of overplay it had, but I'm very much back on it these days!

17 Can't Get You Out of My Head UK chart peak: #1 From: Fever 18 Dancing UK chart peak: #38 From: Golden One thing I'll always respect Can't Get You Out of My Head for is the sheer cultural impact the song has had. It's become a defining song of Kylie's career, with the iconic music video, the white jumpsuit, pretty much all aspects of it embedded in queer culture and being a real turning point for Kylie heralding in a brand new generation of fans. The music video was very much a part of my childhood, referring back to Ultimate Kylie and watching it on repeat. The song's come and gone in my affections over the years but I'll always love it really. After initially being offered to S Club 7 and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, it's difficult to imagine this being a song by any other artist now. What really sticks with me about this song is how the likes of The Abbey Road Sessions and some live performances can turn it into a much more powerful, atmospheric song too. One of the things that always stands out to me about this - particularly with its live performances - is how it can end up incorporating themes and sounds of Doctor Who so well, with the backing dancers on the Showgirl (and Homecoming) tour alluding to Cybermen, and Kylie then ending up starring in the show. Kylie's first single with BMG and lead single from Golden, Dancing is such a wonderful country-pop-bop that introduced us to this brand new world that Kylie had cooked up for the era so perfectly. This was a delicious taste of what was to come on an album full of Kylie in storytelling mode and infusing country so wonderfully into her classic pop sound. What was brilliant to see is that critics raved about Dancing too, some being a tad hyperbolic saying it was the best/freshest thing she'd done since Impossible Princess (where were you for all the other eras?), so Kylie definitely hadn't lost her edge going into this era. I think we'll need to be eternally thankful for what those Nashville recording sessions did for Kylie as an artist and how she's brought it into every era since. Dancing was the perfect encore to the Golden tour too, so to see it performed live was great; the last time I saw her on tour.
