The Good Natured Welcomes Letland

The Good Natured aka Sarah McIntosh continued her tour today by visiting the new country to the BJSC of Letland. The Kingdom of Shadow's entry into BJSC XXVI heard that the Lettish people enjoyed indie and electropop and just knew she should come and introduce herself! 'It's great to come to a country where you think you're music will be appreciated so fingers crossed they like what they hear!'. Shadowan tabloids have suggested there may be an alternative reason for The Good Natured's appearence here, when asked if there were any truth behind the rumours linking her with Vlad Topalov she replied 'I really love Vlad's music and have met him in the build up to the contest. He seems a nice guy'. McIntosh performed two tracks whilst in the country, 'Your Body is a Machine' and her XXVI entry 'Fortune Teller'.

Buzzjack Song Contest deemed a failure by the Lettish media.

http://visualrian.com/storage/PreviewWM/5087/54/508754.jpg

After the unfortunate last place on BJSC's 26th edition, the Lettish media are panning the competition labeling it "uninteresting", "cheesy", "a waste of time and money" and "utter disgrace".

While the majority criticize the show itself, some critics are harsher on the Lettish entry. "Unappealing", "chavy" and "outdated" is how Vlad Topalov's #1 smash hit is perceived.

Topalov is yet to make a public commentary on the event.

Meanwhile "Perfect Criminal" will be released in Camdonia, Lotopialand and Land of Jack.

Now there was me thinking that Radio and Cara Mia had already been sent...neither have! Cara Mia's probably LONG overdue being sent then :heehee:

Radio has been sent, I'm sure of it

Cara Mia>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>everything else there  I'm shocked that MF pre-2009 has gone unraided so far, 2007 in particular had so so many great BJSC worthy songs :D

Apparently it hasn't been sent :o I think Scherzland intended to send it before someone else took Danny to send something else, then he sent Kelly Clarkson - Already Gone :manson:

Oh god, one of the most pointless top tens there was in BJSC  I think I gave it points though :kink:

I looked everywhere for those songs and I couldn't find that they were used so I guess they weren't used after all.

Now I want to take them both HAHA!

Curiously though, Cara Mia has no votes in the poll. :o

Lettvidenie not coming back in spite of Dominoes' 3rd place!

http://img1.liveinternet.ru/images/attach/b/1/17397/17397294_01.jpg

After winning the first ever mega fest that was Lettvidenie, Anine Stang went on to make the nation proud and gave Letland its first ever Top 5 position on Buzzjack Song Contest with a 3rd place even!

The bronze medal was not expected by anyone, with the most positive previews for "Dominoes" giving it 5th place.

In spite of the success of the Lettvidenie winning song abroad, LTV announced this pre-selection method will not be back to choose the next Lettish entry for BJSC.

"Lettvidenie gave us our best performing entry on Buzzjack Song Contest, but after the scandal of Margaret Berger and September's midway withdrawls and the huge cost it took us to set up such a show, LTV has decided to axe it. LTV does not rule out a comeback of this format in the future, but for the time being we are going to try and save some money to invest on our BJSC stage show."

Rumours are already speading about the next act to represent Letland. Dima Bilan, Ani Lorak and Tina Karol are a few names in the bowl but it's a collaboration between two megastars that seems to be in the headlines. Sergey Lazarev, who has tried two times to represent Letland (losing out to "Cara Mia" and now "Dominoes") is rumoured to be collaborating with his once fellow-bandmember and first Letland entry ever, Vlad Topalov. Is a SMASH! reunion taking place for BJSC XXXIII? While Lazarev did not deny his desire to represent the country in the near future, Topalov seems to be less keen on it: "I'm not gonna do BJSC again. I did it once, it didn't turn out the best and it's all in the past now. I do not intend to return to those games..."

Unwilling as he may be, a source from Letland assured us a collaboration will indeed be the next Lettish entry. All we need to know now is if SMASH! will be back to smash the competition in Kopečka.

I don't think Smash! will achieve anything better than a bottom 5 placing. :(
