yeah :o at the moment Koda is more popular than Utada & Ayumi, 2 of the biggest stars in Japanese history [ayu especially] Theres going to be a battle though as Ayumi is releasing a new album called 'Secrets' at the end of the month to try and become the biggest selling album of the year since miss-understood became her first studio album not to sell oer 1 million in Japan, Secrets was orignally going to be a mini-album but Ayu's record label Avex changed it.

 

I doubt Koda's success will be long lasting she'll have another 2 years of big success like she is now and then begin to fade, she isnt interesting enough to last long at the top.

But Koda has already been around for quite a few years... she prob won't stay at the top but will still be around... cutey honey is another good one of her songs :P

yeah, but she only became popular in 2003, 3 years after her first album, & part of the reason is some of the major J-Pop females have taken a dive in there careers as of late, leaving space for others such as Koda & Otsuka Ai [ :wub: ] to overtake ^_^

That's called something, but I can't remember what it's called :lol:

 

When people are threatened by an upper class accent, their regional dialect becomes more distinct, and vice versa. Chances are the person on the phone sounded MORE posh purely because they heard your accent when you answered. And you sounded more regional because you heard him being more posh :lol:

when I talk to people on the phone in english my welsh accent always comes out, but I hate my accent :rofl: I have a really welsh accent :blush:

upwards convergance - when someone with a regional accent talk with an RP accent to fit in with the person .. opposite is downwards con - posh speaks with less of an RP accent... erm then there are two divergence ones ... but iv forgotten lol
