yep its confirmed by Oricon, she's the bigegst grossing artist of 2006. by all the albums, singles, commercials and her tv drama, there was a gross income of 12.6 billion yen! :o

 

& I also found out that Utada is the richest japanese female artist, and that koda used to be a prostitute :kink: :o

she may not get much. in Japan artists on there first contract have a set salary rather than earn how much they sell like here, and when they get popular and their contract goes up for renewel, then they get a share of the labels profits.

 

Kuu is still on her salary so I dont really know how much she'll see, but it wont be anything near that much :lol: But im sure the label will be renewing her contract quite soon!

So was koda the highest earner of last year 06 andddd do you think the record company will give her a bit extra due to her doing so well ^_^

Ooh you shouldn't do that, because then it becomes really awkward :o Whenever I told someone I encouraged them to talk to me about it, and ask me questions and stuff - that way you don't have to pretend it didn't happen. Because eventually, you'll just slip into a state of saying nothing about it at all and life carrying on as "normal", except it won't be because your friend knows.

 

It's complicated to explain, but I would advise talking to her about it :D
