Okay, I've been looking for an answer to this question FOR AGES. I know one of you guys could help! :)

Just say I bought the 2nd single off an album which was in the Top 10 on iTunes and it was being cherry picked from the album, rather than the single version. If I had already bought the full album off iTunes, and I download that specific track again to help it's chart position, does that count as a sale?

Also, if I was to buy the main version of this track off the official Single EP on iTunes would that count as another sale? So 2 sales altogether?

Just say I was buying tracks off the single EP on iTunes and I bought all 4 of them (main version and 3 remixes). Does that count as 4 sales? And if I just clicked "Buy EP" would that count as 1 sale or 4 sales because that's the number of tracks?

I was on the Florence and the Machine YGTL for #1 campaign facebook website earlier this year and it said "If you already have Lungs, download a remix instead!" but does a remix count towards the songs chart position?

So many questions!!!! Hope you can answer them.

Thanks in advance

As long as you don't buy exactly the same thing twice, every single sale counts.

If you buy an album then buy the single later, it counts.

Buying an EP counts as one sale for the track, but if you buy all the tracks separately it counts as more than one sale (ie remixes etc.)
