May 2, 201015 yr Another great selection  50. Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You (1994) 49. All Saints - Never Ever (1997) 48. Livin' Joy - Dreamer (1995) 47. Madonna - The Power Of Goodbye (1998) 46. New Radicals - You Get What You Give (1999) 45. Boyzone - All That I Need (1998) 44. Strike - U Sure Do (1995) 43. Enya - Anywhere Is (1995) 42. DJ Jean - The Launch (1999)
May 2, 201015 yr Quite a good list so far- agree with you re Live Forever, You Get What You Give, Bring It All Back and All I Want For Christmas no Barbie Girl? :kink: Edited May 2, 201015 yr by chart wizard
May 2, 201015 yr Author MUCH loving to "Finally Found", "The Power Of Goodbye", "Never Ever", "You Get What You Give", and "All About The Money". 98/99 really was my era. My favourite has to be the remix of "Good Life" - utterly brilliant and uplifting. I'll also say that "All That I Need" is one of the few Boyzone songs I can tolerate - I know not why. Yes to all of this! All That I Need is completely underrated, it's so breezy and singalong, my favourite 90's Boyzone song.
May 2, 201015 yr Author Quite a good list so far- agree with you re Live Forever, You Get What You Give, Bring It All Back and All I Want For Christmas no Barbie Girl? :kink: No way :drama: Great selection of tracks from Ray of Light. Also, Live Forever is amazing. I personally think #6 (?) was a massive injustice of a peak for The Power Of Goodbye, haunting song.
May 2, 201015 yr All 'Bout the Money  One of my favourite semi-hits of the 90s! Much love for Alisha's Attic too, who I agree should have been far more successful. I didn't actually realise they never had a top 10 hit though. :o Thought I Am, I Feel sneaked in there. Talk about an injustice, especially since they were active in the era of the 90s where the top 10 had such a high turnover rate. Good list here, anyway, gooddelta. I like a lot of the songs (too many to list) and the only one I really can't tolerate is OMC. Interesting to see 3(!) songs by the Honeyz. That's all the songs they released in the 90s except Never Let You Down - or is that still to come? :P The only one I really like is Finally Found, the other two are nice but rather average. They were a nice group but in terms of 90s girlbands there were far better so it's interesting to see the high strike rate for them here.

May 2, 201015 yr No way :drama: I personally think #6 (?) was a massive injustice of a peak for The Power Of Goodbye, haunting song. Yeah, it is really well produced but coming as a 4th single from an album that had probably passed a million at that point meant that it wasn't going to do that well. I'd have preferred it to be second single after Frozen.
May 2, 201015 yr Author Into the top 40, obviously getting more detailed with the blurb the higher up I go; 40. The Corrs - Only When I Sleep (1997) 39. TQ - Westside (1999) 75uoU2YW8WU 38. Take That - Never Forget (1995) 37. Alex Party - Don't Give Me Your Life (1995) 36. Berri - Sunshine After The Rain (1995) 35. Tin Tin Out feat Shelley Nelson - Here's Where The Story Ends (1998) jDz7I5KshHE 34. Sash! - La Primavera (1998) 33. Pet Shop Boys - Se A Vide E (That's The Way Life Is) (1996) w730hkpF-pE 32. The Boo Radleys - Wake Up Boo (1995) 31. The Corrs - I Never Loved You Anyway (1997) Bookending this section then are the first two (and least successful) singles from The Corrs' 1997 masterpiece Talk On Corners, the angsty I Never Loved You Anyway and the more rocky Only When I Sleep. R&B singer TQ's gorgeous 'slow jam' Westside is at #39, followed by my favourite Take That single until Patience, the fantastic Never Forget (with Howard on lead vocals no less!). Alex Party and Berri's 1995 dance classics make an appearance in the top 40 and are followed by serial Corrs remixers and top ten stars in their own right Tin Tin Out with the brilliant 'never off the radio' smash, Here's Where The Story Ends. Also from 1998, German dance DJ Sash!'s Chariots Of Fire inspired (I should think :kink:) La Primavera, Pet Shop Boys finest 90's moment for me, the carnival-esque Se A Vide E and the uplifting top ten Britpop smash from Boo Radleys, also used to open Chris Evans radio show back in the 90's!
May 2, 201015 yr Author 30. Spice Girls - 2 Become 1 (1996) 29. Republica - Ready To Go (1997) 28. Kylie Minogue - Some Kind Of Bliss (1997) 27. Robet Miles feat Maria Nayler - One & One (1996) 4__gd6seoks 26. Eternal feat BeBe Winans - I Wanna Be The Only One (1997) 25. The Corrs - Dreams (1998) 24. Ace Of Base - Always Have, Always Will (1998) 3HPW2r38yjQ 23. Sash! feat Tina Cousins - Mysterious Times (1998) 22. Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (1998) 21. Precious - Say It Again (1999) Kicking off the top thirty is Spice Girls first Christmas #1, the absolutely gorgeous 2 Become 1. Republica's dance turned Britpop football chant anthem Ready To Go is next to another 1997 song, the vastly underrated 'Kylie goes indie' moment, Some Kind Of Bliss, written and produced by James Dean Bradfield of the Manic Street Preachers I believe hence the similarity in sound to his band. Eternal's timeless 1997 pop/gospel #1 single (still played on Heart at least four times a day now) is at #26 and The Corrs first breakthrough smash in the UK, Dreams (nicely remixed by Todd Terry just for Radio 1 approval). The first single I ever bought for myself (on cassette no less), Always Have Always Will from Ace Of Base is next and is followed by two dance classics from the same year, one of many #2's from Sash!, Mysterious Times and the brilliant ibiza anthem Cafe Del Mar from Energy 52. Precious' UK Eurovision entry from 1999 just misses the top twenty, but is still one of my all time favourite girlband singles, and one of the songs responsible for turning me into an ESC loon!
May 2, 201015 yr Author love Wake Up Boo! I prefer Can You Forgive Her? and So Hard to Se A Vida E Can You Forgive Her? is also great, would have made a top 200 if I'd gone that far. I also had a strange love for You Only Tell Me You Love Me When You're Drunk, although despite coming from a 1999 album, it wasn't a single until very early 2000.
May 2, 201015 yr 40. The Corrs - Only When I Sleep (1997) 37. Alex Party - Don't Give Me Your Life (1995) 36. Berri - Sunshine After The Rain (1995) 35. The Boo Radleys - Wake Up Boo (1995) 31. The Corrs - I Never Loved You Anyway (1997) Another great collection. Finally we see the Corrs

ATB - Don't Stop (1999) 11. The Cardigans - Erase/Rewind (1999) ex2E4vyGem0 Apologies for the 1998/99 love in here, they really were amazing for me  Kicking off the top twenty is everyone's favourite Scottish band Texas with the brilliant 1999 comeback single In Our Lifetime! My favourite Kylie song I think of all time, the brilliant early 90's stormer What Do I Have To Do is at #19. Two gorgeous girlband ballads/career bests (for me) from 1998 appear back to back in the form of 'week before Christmas #1' from B*Witched and the final Spice single to feature Geri (until Headlines), the glorious Viva Forever. Ace Of Base's 1998 comeback, 'the happiest song of all time' Life Is A Flower is at No.16 (sung by my then idol Jenny Berggren) and Cher's incredible late 1998 7 week chart topper Believe creeps into the top 15  Underrated (in the UK) Jewel is at No.14 with her 1999 low end top 40 SMASH Down So Long and three other songs from the final year of the decade round off this section; one hit wonder girlband Thunderbugs with Friends Forever, ATB's second single, 9PM backwards, it's Don't Stop! Swedish indie pop band The Cardigans just miss the top ten with the fantastic Erase/Rewind, which I far preferred to My Favourite Game, even if the latter had one of my favourite videos ever!
