Erm, she performed on TOTP because the song was #1. The song didn't become a #1 hit because of TOTP

She was singing live from the start! Unlike other "artists" ^_^

Virtually no one sang live on TOTP by that time (1999) !! Miming was the norm. So impressed to see Christina buck the trend and sing live. great to see the old clip again so thanks for posting. Highlights what a long way she's come in 11 years but also how good she was right from the start. I mean, she was, what ? 17 when she gave that performance. Amazing vocal talent.

Wow, she's loved her melismas pretty much all her life then. Sometimes it really is overlaod though.

 

Remember seeing this performance on TV, nice to see it again.
