I dont think Once was overhyped by anyone but Radio 1 and her fans.I am sure the second single will do better and hopefully shift up album sales.I do remember that someone claimed that she had a bigger fanbase than JLS and Alex and was guaranteed huge sales-please confess whomever that was.

I thought it generally was by internet forums as well tbh. It's a nice song and all that but nothing groundbreaking. I'm not sure her album will have much staying power either tbh, but well done on her for the success she has got. I don't think she had a bigger fanbase than JLS and Alex, but definetly a more loyal one - JLS and Alex probably appeal to more people than Diana does.

I think Total Eclipse will go top ten

It's been about as big as Like A Prayer worldwide so far and doesn't have the added effect of being released alongside an album to drag it down.

I also think that 'Total Eclipse...' is going to be a top-10.

 

Taio or Pendulum are in the danger zone. 'Watercolour' is going to do what the Sugababes 4.0 singles like to do: fall relatively quickly in the style of early 2000s.

I didn't say she was guaranteed huge sales though. I did say, however, that she had a bigger fan base than Alex and JLS from X Factor (as the weekly votes showed). I did say afterwards though that Alexandra's and JLS' fanbases have grown since they have been establishing themselvees - especially Alex who has hit Europe. :D

 

And about Te Amo, i still wouldn't say it's straight up mid-tempo. Maybe a down-to-mid tempo.

Yeah of course I knew it was you who said it, just yanking your chain.I thought maybe you had conducted a poll about the nuumber of fans each act had.I hope the mid week chart Top 10 has had a good clear out come tomorrow.Would rather see Glee go Top 10 than Edward Maya.
