Hmmm i'm sure if JLS re-recorded one of their album tracks and released it as a single [which isn't currently on the album] alongside the album version they would get top 10 as well

ofcourse not everyone will like JLS, not everyone will like all artists around. That was a pointless statement to make as it is completely obvious. There is no one artist who is liked by the whole world's population.

Even if you dont like an artist you cannot deny the success an artist has had, if you attempt to, it moves to just pure jealousy and unnecessary hate.

 

Not sure what your argument is onika, JLS has done so much more with their album then alex, it has been like double the success. Fact. You have no argument when talking about the two's success because there is clear evidence who has done better, no opinions involved.

Well thats just a silly comment now isnt it.

Its sold well over a million and has had 3 top 10 singles from it. That album is finished & rightly so, it was time to move on to the next album for JLS, alex on the other hand hasnt hit 600,000 yet so obviously they will try get it to highest figure possible. I doubt another single will be out from this album for her.

 

The pitbull version is doing very well to be at #50 and another at #6, top 5 could be possible now.

 

Well she has already recorded another video so I'm pretty sure another single is being released.

 

The new JLS single is abysmal anyway so they probably should have released another track from the 1st album. And no it is not a silly comment as let's face it the album was pathetic.

JLS' album has sold almost twice as much as Alex's and they've had 3 big singles as well.

 

It doesn't matter how they got the sales, sales = success, end of.

JLS and Alex both had their albums out around the same time, explain why JLS' album sales have been so much higher.

Anyway this isnt the JLS/Alex thread, there is no argument as clear facts show JLS have been more popular & successful; fact.

A sale is a sale, doesn't matter who from or when. They all count the same, no one is more deserved than another.

Alex has sold alot more singles than JLS :P, i dont like JLS but they have done amazing anyway very happy to see B.O.B doing well :D

Last year's was added the same week as it was out on physical. Have a look on Monday, albums don't normally get added on Sundays.

For what it's worth, i've agreed with everything that you've said. Not because i'm an Alex fan but because the JLS album lacks any real quality and could have been recorded by anyone. The fact Justin Bieber was going to sing One Shot says it all. :lol: I know people will turn this argument around on Alex but all the songs produced on her album were inspired by moments in her life (from her diary).

 

There's no denying JLS have sold more albums than Alex. But the question is: Why? Why were there four different sleeves for the album? Was it because their label didn't have much faith in the album itself? Was it because the label wanted to take advantage of their hormonal fanbase? Whatever reason it was, the success wasn't deserved imo. The quality of the album (bar Kickstart which I think is the only decent song on there) is poor and JLS could have done so much better. I have to question whether they are actually artists. :(

 

Anyway, :yahoo: for Alex. She's doing great atm. Shows what a really good song can do for her. :heart:

How some fo you people can say the sales of the album was because of different sleeves is completely insane.

Their album sold because their fans like their music and are very popular.

imo i really dont like beat again or everybody in love, and i dont own the album, one shot is a good song, but thats it. You just cant deny they have been more successful then alex, it isnt an opinion its a clear fact.

 

Anyway can we get off this alex/jls discussion = boring.

 

BOB should be top 10 in an hour or soo..

It is good to see that Alexandra is doing great with this campaign, I think there will be another single released from it now. Shows what can happen when your album isn't filled with crap so you have to rush onto the next album [JLS].

Rush onto the next album ? :lol: they actually had another single Kickstart scheduled for a May release, but this was cancelled as the album has already sold 1,000,000 + & will probably go 4x platinum eventually..

They could easily release another single but chose not too and instead to concentrate on new material..

& Didn't Alex say she had another collab soon with a male singer.. Maybe a re-release or new album

 

Edit: & btw I am a JLS fan but agree their first album was nothing amazing.. but you can't really put the success of it down to album slipcases :S.. That would have only affected first week sales as they could only be bought online from HMV and soon after HMV removed them
