I've heard all the ones I mentioned now, and I only loved Sara Bareilles. Leona and J-Hud was alright, but Kylie was pretty awful to say it's a comeback single. Give me '2 Hearts' over it anyday. :(

It's way too MOR for my liking, at least '2 Hearts' has some sort of beat to it (but I do actually like it :P). Hmm, it's a possibility. Depends if she gets some good promo slots like Gabriella Cilmi. Out of interest, where did 'Love Song' peak? :)

I guess I agree, although Warm This Winter should have been much bigger than it actually was, one of my favourite xmas songs already! Ah right, yeah I was surprised but ecstatic it took off here, the reason it was in my chart for so long is because I first heard charted it (at #2) way back in autumn 2007 as a demo I heard on MySpace. I was rather surprised but elated when it suddenly started gaining momentum in the US, and I finally got hold of the proper radio version of the song (which took it to #1 in my chart). Then I won BJSC with it, and then a few months after that it smashed in the UK (and returned once again to #1 in my chart :lol:). I was a true Sara loon! I'd love her to be more than a one hit wonder, I think this is a great comeback.

Thanks Zech :D I noticed that, and I did watch her performance on youtube, very nice. I had a search for the Jason Mraz original while I was there but didn't like it as much :( Her album's nice enough but the three Unser Star Für Oslo final songs and the two cover versions (this and My Same) are by far the best things on the album.

Did you know that "Love Me" was actually written by herself and the host of the show? You could see her disappointment after the result of the vote was announced. :lol:

I did know that! I have the album (on CD) so it has all the artist/songwriter credits. Ellie Goulding wrote one of the tracks too! :D

 

Love Me's catchy and I like it but it's also quite throwaway and repetitive and I can't see that it would have been a better choice than Satellite. In the charts it performed worst of the three songs as well I noticed, even behind Bee.

I know, I was gutted when it missed the top 20, as I'd been following iTunes for a while, and saw it in the mid teens for quite a while. :( I'm surprised it's one of your favourites though, although it's definately one of my highlights too. That's pretty incredible, but how hilarious that the UK got it almost a year after the US. :lol: Where did it peak over there? :P And I agree at it being a good comeback though. ;D
