May 19, 201015 yr 'Stranger On The Shore' - Mr. Acker Bilk, should be very high in the List. It spent ages on the Chart in 1961 & 1962. As should 'Honey' - Bobby Goldsboro, which was No.2 in both 1968 & 1975. And, then there is 'Fairytale Of New York', by The Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl. Which is the only Single to reach the Top 10 in 4 entirely different Chart Runs.
May 19, 201015 yr I think that 'Holiday' by Madonna, should have its 3 Top 10 'Runs' added together - No.6 in 1984, No.2 in 1985, & No.5 in 1991. It should count as a No.2 Hit - and have the Points of its 3 Chart Runs combined. And 'Crazy For You', by Madonna, should have both its 1985 No.2 Points, & 1991 No.2 Points, combined. May 19, 201015 yr Even though Aker Bill had something like 55 weeks in the top 40 I get the feeling it won't be the no. 1 - I think there could be a surprise no. 1 which would be great. :D
