Same Difference: 'Shine On Forever (Photo Frame)'

Released on Monday, August 30 2010

By Robert Copsey, Music Reporter

"I can't kick this is feeling / I'm out of control / I'm losing my mind and I have never felt so low," Same Difference warble in curiously positive fashion on their new single. While being unceremoniously dumped by Syco last year would give them plenty of scope for a temper tantrum, pop's perkiest duo have instead taken the high road, ditching the kiddyish polka dot dresses and baseball jackets (and trousers and pants, in one case), and coming back with a slightly harder-edged sound.

Over beats as hammy 'n' cheesy as a croque monsieur, Sean 'n' Saz confess to "crashing and burning" and being desperate to find what they had before - a place at the meaty man-bosom of Mr C, perhaps? The track itself kinda comes off like something a well-known group of High School misfits would consider for a sectionals performance, so it's not a particularly grown-up affair, but again neither is a promo clip in which a pair of siblings are seen copping off with their trade mere metres apart from one another. That's one memory best kept weeell away from their photo frame.

3/5 stars

I haven't heard but......

Same Difference have collaborated with Alcazar on a track called "Karma Karma" I can't wait to hear it!

Oh god. :cheer:

Alcazar are nobodies here in the UK!

Although it might help them break into the Swedish market. Which would be handy, as cheesy music is a lot bigger in other european countries than it is here.
